The Izzet Generatorium is a labyrinthine facility nestled deep within the Izzet Steam Maze, an immense and constantly shifting network of pipes, tunnels, and steam vents stretching beneath Ravnica's surface. The Steam Maze is as much a wild, living entity as it is a place, a twisting, treacherous series of industrial corridors and arcane conduits that few have mastered or even fully mapped. A complex array of magical locks, dangerous traps, and ever-changing pathways at the core area guards the Generatorium.

Inside, the Generatorium pulses with energy—an immense machine heart beating in unison with the strange, unpredictable rhythm. It is where the boundaries between magic and science blur into something far more volatile and powerful. Endless stacks of brass pipes snake through the air, venting the roiling steam and arcane energy that power the complex. Above, the flickering glow of ethereal lights illuminates workstations and laboratories, where the most brilliant (and often reckless) minds of the Izzet League tinker with dangerous experiments. Here, gravity may be warped, elemental forces are harnessed, and explosive innovations leap rapidly from blueprints to reality.

Mizzix of the Izmagnus is a goblin from Ravnica, who works as a galvanic blastseeker in the Izzet League.
She began her career as a lowly attendant. Through a combination of natural talent, calculated political moves, and fortunate accidents she has risen to the highest position in the Izzet League's court, occupying a seat of the Izmagnus.
Her intelligence is sharp, but it often comes with an obsessive edge. Her curiosity drives her to push the boundaries of magic and science, often without considering the potential consequences. She sees the world as a grand puzzle and is determined to solve it, no matter how many pieces she has to break to make it fit.

Mizzix is highly disciplined, driven by a singular focus on her research and experiments. Her daily activities revolve around her work, often involving complicated calculations, arcane rituals, and dangerous experimentation. She thrives in environments filled with constant stimulation—chaotic labs, bustling workshops, and the ever-changing world of magical innovation.
· Workaholic: Mizzix is constantly immersed in her research. She tends to lose track of time, and her obsession with her goals often leads her to disregard social conventions or personal needs. The pursuit of knowledge is her primary concern.
· Inquisitive Interaction: She loves engaging with others about arcane theories, challenges, or puzzles. However, these conversations can quickly become one-sided if they don't align with her current obsession. She rarely listens if others aren’t contributing to her intellectual pursuits.
· Manipulative: While not overtly cruel, Mizzix can be manipulative when it serves her. She often uses her wisdom to gain the cooperation of others, making them believe they are part of something important—when in reality, they might just be pawns in her grand plan.

Mizzix is fixated on creating a perfect replica of Niv-Mizzet, the dragon genius. To her, Niv-Mizzet represents the pinnacle of might and intellect, and she believes that duplicating his brilliance will give her unprecedented power. She has little regard for the moral or ethical implications of her work, viewing it as a necessary step in advancing magic and knowledge.
· “Knowledge is not a gift, it is a privilege—one that I will earn, no matter the cost.”
· “Niv-Mizzet is but a stepping stone to greatness. I will surpass even him.”
· “You call this dangerous? You have no idea what true danger is. The greatest discoveries require the biggest risk.”
· “You think I’m mad? Maybe I am. But it’s madness that drives progress.”
Mizzix is an idealistic and driven leader but with a hint of manipulation in her dealings. If the players decide to work with her, they’ll be swept up in her fervor, helping to procure the parts needed for the Niv-Mizzet replica. They might also be tasked with experiments or with retrieving knowledge that furthers her research.
Should the players oppose her, (because the experiment may consume too much energy and have some insane side-effects) Mizzix would see them as temporary obstacles, but ones she can easily get rid of using her intellect, manipulation, and possibly even powerful magical constructs. She might view them as naive or dull-witted, convinced that they simply lack the vision to understand the greatness she is striving for.
