Important Poll

http://www.strawpoll.me/11010854?cookieTest=1

At the moment I'm only charging for the first episode of each month, because I thought it wasn't worth full price for a capsule review. However. each episode is turning out to be about 10 minutes, roughly the same length as an XS (minus comment corner)  and I'm actually putting more into them then I thought I would! Let me know how you feel by voting and be sure to comment if your opinion is more nuanced.

Roger Smith: if you are worried about how many are being made per month, just put a cap on the amount you are willing to spend per month. You can do that.

I like supporting you, but my fear is that you'll do twenty videos in a month and I'll be out a chunk of cash quickly. I'd be happier if you were charging a set amount per month, instead of charging per each video.

I'm down for paying for them. You're putting the time and effort into making them and I really liked the first two. So I'm happy to support each video. Honestly it is these videos (a review of each episode of the first season of Pokemon, that is awesome!) that finally motivated me to start using Patreon to support you and a couple other creators, even if I'm a poor college student. I guess I'm trying to say that I love all your videos, shut up and take my money.

My answer is quite a bit more nuanced. Namely: while I love Poke'mon, I actually got into your show(s) because of your reviews of anime and AMVs. However, more importantly, because of the *way* in which you reviewed them: the style, the joy, the humor, everything about them made me want to watch more. Your Poke'mon crossovers, for me, were delightful for a lot of reasons, but unlike a great many people, they're actually *not* why my support came in... other than 'because it was your involvement'. I support you because I want you to have the ability to keep doing what you take joy in doing: reviews. Whatever it is that you are reviewing, or doing, I enjoy the style and substance and personality that you have been able to bring to them. If doing these reviews will offer you a chance to not only get out of a depressive rut, *and* help inspire others to donate and help you get back your mojo, then I would be more than happy to pay for each one you put up. I have a maximum set for a reason. Basically, I'm a patron because I *want* you to be able to do what you love, and what I love seeing out of you: your joy and your passion for the subject(s).

It won't let me click on the poll so I'll just say yes. Work is still work, there's no magical time limit that qualifies something as a "real" video.
