Eternal's Arrival:
Under the peach and purple skies of a chill autumn morning, Nicol Bolas launched his invasion. Tezzeret opened the Planar Bridge over the Chamber of the Guildpact, reducing the symbol of Ravnica's endurance to rubble. The bridge connected Ravnica to Amonkhet with the horns of Bolas visible on Amonkhet's horizon and the second sun suspended between the horns.
Death greeted the world with a roar of desert air, and endless ranks of the mummified dead marched forth into Ravnica's Plaza of the Guildpact. The Eternals represented all the diversity of life on Amonkhet: Nagas, Minotaurs, and khenra marched with the army, mummified aven soared overhead, and monsters ranging from manticores to hippopotami ranged around the disciplined ranks.
All of them were under the control of the planeswalker Liliana Vess, forced by the terms of her contract to obey Bolas's orders. She commanded the Eternals to begin attacking the citizens of Ravnica, launching a massacre as the battle-hardened zombies plowed into the unprepared citizenry.
