Discussion

This is a small thing I wanted to say in regards to the last few chapters.

So it contains spoilers as of chapter SURPRISE!

As of 02/07, this chapter is numbered 18

.

.

.

If you're still here, then you don't mind the spoiler, so let's go.

Pretty much, I wanted to introduce the Xenos some other time, but I saw this as the perfect time, why? Let me explain why.

The Xenos are beings who exist in the Dungeon for decades already, they could even be there for over a hundred years and we wouldn't know, because it's kind of a plot hole, or at least, I lack information since it isn't listed in the wiki.

They have failed on numerous occasions to interact with the surface dwellers, and this has caused some of them to lose hope, and a few to even resent those on the surface.

Especially since they started to be actively hunted.

Because this isn't very clear, I decided to go with the current interpretation:

The Xenos were mostly unknown until Fels made contact with them, since then, the Guild has put up an effort into clearing out any evidence of their existence while also starting to think of plans to introduce them on the surface.

Until recently, the Xenos failed many times, and lost many compatriots as well, however, that wasn't due to hunting, but due to accidents.

There is also the interpretation that they never lost anyone to adventures until recently, but I choose the first option.

Because they started to be hunted down recently by the Ikelos Familia, Gros has become extremely attentive and on edge.

Already being a very no-nonsense person, and a hot head, he immediately lashed out at everyone for bringing an outsider during this sensitive time.

However, after talking things through, he accepted his existence.

It is important to note that Gros' anger is much much lesser than 2 years in the future, and so is the number of Xenos.

Because of this, I made Gros trust Silver more than in the original, and when he showed his powers, giving thee Xenos a view of the outside and kindling their hope, Gros thanked him because he carries about his people more than his own pride and life.

And when Silver proposed to fight him, he was willing to receive physical punishment if Silver so desired.

But when he understood Silver truly wished to fight him, Gros' anger diminished greatly and his trust in him increased.

So he smiled and accepted a spar, not only as a way to vent his own anger for losing his people but also as a way to gauge how strong Silver was, even though he had already somewhat accepted him.

When he was beaten 3 times and humiliated, despite everything he had claimed, Gros understood that perhaps, the problem wasn't with the outsiders, but with himself, although this later portion is to be explained later down the line.

It was a small change of personality that will have significant changes in the future.

Silver said a lot to the Xenos, and tried to say that their dream was impossible to be achieved in a short timeframe.

They had to grow stronger, and by growing stronger, they could become stronger allies for him in the future, and work as sparring partners.

Although I felt it to be sudden, I do think that deeming their history and conditions, they would've made contact with Silver.

Silver had been training in the Middle floors for almost 3 weeks straight, and in the last 2 or so, he became a complete Demon training every day.

The commotion caused by his training was bound to be noticed by someone and to be even reported to the Guild, as such, the Xenos went there thinking an Irregular monster had been born.

Only to find Silver.

Once they were seen, it was already too late to retreat so Lyd acted first, and from there, you know the rest.

There is a lot more to say about what happened in between.

Ais and her growth.

The mysterious person that schemed all of this in the first place.

Fels and Ouranos discussion...

And also Silver's future interactions with these furry friends.

I am always open for suggestions.

Peace!
