Development Update!

Happy Monday, everyone!

We are nearly at the deployment stage for the next update of Mother's Devotion, and I'm excited to share what’s been happening behind the scenes. Right now, I’m focusing on the coding aspects, integrating the many scenes and new storylines I’ve created into the game.

What’s Been Done and What’s Left to Code

For the Fluffy Edition:

As you all know, the Fluffy Edition is the exclusive Supporter Version of the game. It’s a separate file with its own unique code and renders. Here’s what I’m working on:

• Wardrobe: Players will have access to the clothing available in the game. You’ll be able to enjoy the outfits currently available and customize them to your liking. I've focused a lot on Clarissa and will soon add Emma. If this feature gets positive feedback, I’ll integrate other characters and their outfits in future updates.

• Kimiko's Toy: The Kimiko introduction scene comes with an extended part, available only to supporters. Future scenes will also have extended parts or branching lines exclusive to you. While this might not make me popular with everyone, my priority is always my supporters!

General (Fluffy/Public Versions):

• Max’s Story: I need to code Max's storyline. I’ve focused more on creating the experience so far.

• Esperanza’s Story: It’s just the beginning, but it sets the stage for the questline.

• Howard’s Job: Players will be able to work as a maid in Howard’s apartment. For now, the logic is in place, but there’s no urgency for the player to make money. The next update will focus on creating that urgency to make it a compelling gameplay loop.

• Gallery Updates: Once all the scenes are integrated, I’ll add new animations to the gallery.

For the Future:

• World Expansion: After this update, I want to focus on the game’s world. I’ll expand the Red Light District and make the bar a visitable location with scenes for you to experience.

• Corruption System: The corruption system is coded in but hasn’t shown its full potential yet. The idea is that progressing through the main stories will earn you corruption points. These points will unlock content around the world, rewarding you for exploration. While it’s just an idea for now, the framework is already in place.
