Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you’re all surviving the inevitable flood of Christmas tunes—Mariah Carey is back in full force, and somehow it’s still November!
This past week has been all about pushing forward on the next release of Teacher’s Trap. Here’s a peek at what’s new and nearly ready for you:
Key Progress on Content:
Next Day Complete with Animations: The upcoming day of gameplay is ready and brings two new animations! These have been a bit of a project, but I’m excited about how they add to the story.
Two New Blackmail Questline Scenes: I’m diving deeper into Klara’s journey with the blackmail storyline. The scenes are wrapped up and only need coding and a final test before they’re ready for you to experience.
Update on Upcoming Features:
Grammar and Polishing: Every line is getting a polish for clarity and flow. This includes grammar tweaks to make everything as smooth and immersive as possible.
Updated Font: Based on your feedback, I’ve switched to a new font to make reading easier on the eyes. I’d love to know if you find this change helpful.
Expanding the World: The game world is opening up! You’ll be able to access the Office, though it’s still a scene-free zone for now. The School is now open for exploring, where you can interact with students around campus, adding life to the environment even though scenes aren’t yet tied to these interactions.
New Phone Feature – Notepad (Quest Walkthrough): The phone now has a fully functional Quest Walkthrough that tracks quests and guides you to your next objectives. It provides helpful hints on where and how to unlock events, making it a big step up from the previous system.
A Note on the Alpha Release:
This is still an early alpha build (V0.01), so feedback from all of you is crucial. As an early supporter, your input will directly shape how the game evolves, from story decisions to quality-of-life features.
Reporting Bugs:
If you spot any bugs or issues, please reach out! Providing a screenshot or a brief description of the steps that led to the problem is always helpful.
Thank you all for being part of Teacher’s Trap’s journey. Your feedback helps make it better every step of the way!
