Progress Update: 7/24/24
Added 2024-07-24 23:29:04 +0000 UTCThe final draft of the script for the new Down the Rabbit Hole is now complete.
The next steps are relatively straightforward: once I record the final narration and cut the interviews in with it, Arc can begin taking the assets that he's been making and animate them in time with the descriptions and Ryan can fit the music. Before that, though, we'll all be sitting down together to go over the script and discuss the arc that the music will take, where it will swell and subside and where we want animations. This will be a very animation-heavy episode, so choosing where and how we want it will be vital, especially given the complexity of the topic.
Arc would also like to share some of his progress, as well:
Hi everyone, this is Christopher aka "Arcaxon," since the last update I’ve been steadily working on the accurate closeup map of the baths with all the defenses and buildings.
This meant combing through hours of footage Fredrik was able to share with me, to map out most of the defensive structures built by players at the time of the fight in the baths. I started by mapping out the Bath’s defenses within Foxhole Planner which I was able to observe from the footage. Once I had gone through all the footage and mapped everything I could, I started working with assets I had created earlier to recreate the setup at the baths. I’m working on polishing the map and placing the final few assets around the island. Below are some of the assets I have made to represent the entrenchments from the game.

As mentioned in Fred’s last update he’s completed the draft of the script and I’ll soon be giving it a second look and continue annotating it before our next big meeting.
Work on the bird’s eye view animations hasn’t started yet, as the script needs to be completed. However, I’ve created a few small test renders which should show what we’re aiming towards with the visuals.
Here are the first animation tests for the supply vehicles employed by both Collies and Wardens. These animations are not final as I may need to change them in the future and were made as test renders.

Don’t expect many test renders in the future as I won't be making any the moment Fred starts recording for the video. That’s all I had for you today; thanks for reading.
Also, expect a small writeup of what I've learned making the past two videos and how I plan to combat the long production times. The good news is that I've identified what has made these subjects so difficult to research and write, and we can avoid this for the foreseeable future by choosing particular topics. I intend to return to form after this one.
See you all soon,
-Fredrik

Sadly Deeribou has not updated me in a while, although I should have made an update more recently but I have been busy with the video. An update has been posted to the website, if you require further assistance please send an email to: Arcaxonia@DownTheRabbit.Store
