Progress Update: 10/17/2022
Added 2022-10-18 04:31:45 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Obviously September proved to be optimistic for the release date of the new video. However, progress is continuing at a solid pace; the script is currently at 39,000 words and I have a bit more to cover. (We're about to exceed what is usually considered novella-length, which is 40,000 words)
For those of you who are a bit more EVE-savvy, I've just finished writing about the Casino War (or World War Bee as it's more formally known) but I'll be moving through the rest of EVE Online's history a bit faster until we reach World War Bee 2, where I'd like to take a little more time to discuss it.
Writing has been a bit of a slog, but now, I've broken through some of the most difficult parts and I'm writing between 1,000 and 2,000 words per work day. I'll let you all know just as soon as the first draft is finished, and then it's just a matter of editing (which is the fun and fast part since my first drafts are quite close to my final drafts). The music has been written alongside the first draft, and will only need mixing and adjustment, and the majority of graphic design is finished, as well, so the progress will be rapid once the script is done.
I'll be updating you much more regularly once this first draft is finished to let you all know as we move through the final stages of production. I'm hesitant to give a release date, but I'm aiming to have it done by the end of the year at the latest. Next month is my hopeful goal.
Thank you all truly for being patient with me as we finish up work. This has been a monumental task, and it's surreal to think that we're so close to the end.

I feel like the saga of creating this video could warrant its own "down the rabbit hole" video. 😅

2022-10-19 23:59:05 +0000 UTCI foresaw that this would be a sore spot for a lot of viewers, so I have a few sentences discussing the discrepancy in nomenclature. As a quirk of the writing, I never refer to the war by name myself except for the brief few sentences and only to clarify why different sources called it different names.
