Changed Release Date to Early Next Week

I am losing my goddamn mind.

Editing has been proceeding steadily, but tediously. The orange lines indicate the section of video where I still have things to resolve, such as highlighting text, adding quoted text, or injecting Arcaxon's animations. Everything before the orange lines is in its finished state and has been completed in the last week.

Astute readers may have already noticed that there are a LOT more pieces of media and volume adjustments to both the audio and visual tracks. ("Volume" is still the term used to refer to a video track's opacity on the timeline) The purple ones, mostly, are credits that will be in the corner of the screen as a courtesy to the players and reporters whose video and footage I used, though most have likely "graduated" from EVE long ago. Most of the pieces of media on the blue track are either text from quotes or separate tracks I use to highlight relevant text I'm quoting. Each change or addition only takes a few minutes to add and review, but over the course of such a long video, these add up.

Still, since my last post, I've been able to tear through the first 4 hours and 13 minutes or so. Mercifully, a large portion of the markers remaining mark where Arc's animations will go; more than half of his work's runtime has gone into the last hour of the video. There is a nonzero chance that the editing is finished tomorrow, though I will likely need Sunday and Monday.

Once this is completed, the only things remaining are to watch through the timeline again to check for errors, export, watch again for rendering errors, upload, and let YouTube decide if it's monetizable. I've made the decision to censor every swear word, given YouTube's recent draconian approach to monetization, though it's not something I do joyfully. (I understand that they have since, allegedly, loosened their restrictions, but they will tighten again just as sure as the tides come in)
