Yeah you were spot on! Scott did not kill anyone to become an alpha so he didn’t automatically become physically stronger from absorbing someone else’s power like most alphas do. However, true alphas exist due to the strength of their willpower so as you said, he IS mentally stronger

Scott has a lot of power but he would rather use the strength and intelligence of his pack to save lives rather than tap into the “monster” he’s afraid of becoming and harm people.
