As you go through and learn the different intervals, you can take all of that knowledge to melodies!
Melodies are not complicated, in fact they give you even more freedom.
The PROBLEM is that people never learn how to use note intervals properly, so when they start picking out melodies, they never know WHY certain notes work and certain others don't.
Music theory is a simple, repetitive tool - and now you can use these concepts to write melodies!
Attached are a few resources to get started experimenting with melodies. The next video goes into a bit more detail on how you can practice with this.
