I completely understand why Stefan was giving Damon grief this episode. Twice during this show we saw Stefan choose Damon over the woman he loves (in season 2 and in this season), and both times Stefan asked Damon to choose him, he hesitated or outright refused. It doesn’t make sense character wise but it’s the choice the writers made so I guess it’s down to Damon to prove he has Stefan’s back.
