Love this take on the recap. Maybe not for every wekk, but would love to see this format return.

The opening part dragged out too much for me but once it got to the actual plot synopsis it was okay, otherwise it was a good review but I think I personally still like the episode overall okay, maybe even more than the previous one. On a side note did you know you can get a Surf using Pikachu in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, if you still wanted one now that is?

Did....did Pikachu have a mostly brown tail at the start--right before Ash almost got hit by the truck? Whaaaa? "Restraining my slapping hand", oh dear me, I'm terrible for giggling. And awwwww, sorry about your (?lack of) Surfing Pikachu. I did get one back in the day, so fascinated--but you're right, I never really thought of the possible reference to Alolan Raichu.

I'm glad you're still experimenting and trying new things, but I think this narration style just stuck around a little too long for my personal taste. Maybe if you'd started the synopsis in that voice and then transitioned? Part of the problem is that it's obviously a very slow drawl which makes the whole thing drag, especially compared to your usual perky and energetic style, and that clashed a lot with when you would do your usual style to inject saucy versions of what the characters were actually saying. I really love it when you mix things up and keep it fresh, so don't stop doing that at all! This one just didn't really work for me.

While I appreciate you trying something different I personally wasn’t a fan of that summary. But keep experimenting!
