This episode really threw into question the ethics of the move scald huh

2022-05-29 10:16:54 +0000 UTCI like to think of Iris as Misty, if they actually gave Misty Goals. Contests were girly things that didn't appear until Gen 3, after Misty had left. So, the audience was used to seeing the female companion get something to do. There were no contests in Gen 5, so Iris became a dragon master, and she gets a few unique moments, but she at least gets to participate in tourneys. (There's usually some kind of competition every 13 episodes in B/W).
