An upload on my birthday and I missed it. Well screw space-time this was retroactively a birthday highlight.

Apparently it did air in the US on Dec 4th. Then they took a break from new episodes till January. So Im going to guess rather then rerun the episode for a month, they reran the entire pokemon league (actually thinking about it... that does sound familiar...) If they did the 1 episode per week thing on Saturdays, that would mean this episode's rerun would have aired... December 25th... or January 1st... ... Well I can certainly think why I wasn't up early watching cartoons on those two days.

I missed this episode as well. Did it actually air in all regions? Or is this a weird variation of the Mandela Effect? And yeah, Suede probably should have pointed out the mistake with Professor Ivy. Maybe next episode.

It made me think of Kehaar from Watership Down but yeah, Redwall makes more sense.

The awesomeness of the redwall reference almost makes up for how uncomfortable the stereotype pigeon english (haha) still makes me even understanding the reference.

I just noticed something. Professor Oak refers to Prof. Ivy as "He", Then Misty refers to Ivy as "She". Weird error. Anyways funny I too missed this episode as a kid, and started to wonder what happened to Pidgeotto, till I got a poster (that I think came from a magazine) showed Ash riding a Pidgeot. Then it wasn't till Bulbapedia came around that I learned that Pidgeot was released and not just at Oaks place.

One of my favorite episodes of Orange Islands. The faces and beginning party are great. Though leaving Pidgeot behind will not stand.
