This is one of those episodes that really stuck in my mind even nearly two decades later, even though looking back parts definitely make me cringe (mainly Rudy and the dancing). Starmie using an electric attack blew my 11-year-old mind and Misty's possible departure made me remember this as the fourth badge Ash had to get due to such high stakes, even though the Charizard episode hadn't happened yet. Then again, maybe I mixed them up because of the scheduling mishap and since I often had to catch episodes as reruns it's entirely possible I did see this one way out of order and miscategorized it.
