Pokémon: The First Movie (part 1)

Welp, here it is! Granted, it's still a little unpolished but aside from some minor adjustments (like adding music and tightening dialogue) this is what's going up on youtube after the Orange islands is done! You may notice that I'm uploading this in two parts, the reason for that being that I can confidently say that both Jess and I spent enough energy on this for two episodes, resulting in an episode at least twice the length. Thanks to all of you for your amazing patience, look out for the second part coming in an hour or so!

Honestly, it's nice to be able to watch your pokemon movie reviews without a constant reminder of some of the more...surprising revelations of the Not So Awesome document

I see. No worries then. Are you gonna put a disclaimer about that on the youtube version so the comments don't go off about it?

Sawnderz

Jess here: Sorry it's like that. It's to avoid youtube bots identifying the footage.

Suede

Apologies if this is one of the things you're going to tweak, but how come the frame is off-center? It's a little distracting.

i like this, but i think this new style will work much better once youve gotten past movies that youve already covered. i understand wanting to reuse the old jokes, and they are funny, but not as funny as they were the first time.

I think it would be nice to see more of your cartoon avatars interacting with film, rather than just a commentary over video. The cartoon reactions making the review feel more alive.

Evan Bao

Good to see the movie reviews back.

James Bevan

Nice. The repeated line reads sound different, but to be fair it's only noticeable because of how much I've rewatched the previous review of this film, and in all honesty I'm glad it sounds different and not EXACTLY the same. Taking that out of the equation for a second, as a review of the film, it's pretty solid. It recaps thoughts from the previous review, expands on some of them, and then introduces new thoughts and points to flesh it out and make the whole thing feel like a new review. I like it.

Fernando Adams II

... Hmm, I'm actually not enjoying this as much as the original. The jokes that are the same are not paced the same which makes them feel awkward. Also I hate to say it but the line delivery feels less genuine. Anyway, sorry if the negative critique is stressing you out after you went through the trouble of rewriting it multiple times and getting Linkara to find time to record but I thought I should give honest opinion.
