The start of this commentary really got me thinking. Horizons really does not feel like the adventure we have been following in the Journey but I think that just makes it a more cohesive entry in the larger Pokémon anime. Like how it foregoes the gym circuit. If you think of Horizons like a reboot, it should be there. But the anime actually stopped doing the badge hunt after XY, eight years ago. A consistent main hub from which the characters fast travel, that's a staple now too. I suspect not having a season dedicated to exploring Galar might be why we see so much of it now. A lot of this is educated from bulbapedia, but it's a fun thing your comentary helped me discover. Makes me appreciate both series more tbh. Looking forward to the scripting marathon!
