Added 2024-11-30 04:37:02 +0000 UTCUgh, one of my least favorite types of episode ("this whole thing could have been done in the last 5 minutes of the last episode") and yet another HORRENDOUS plot hole! At least it's the last of the season, maybe the next one will breathe some life into it...

This is probably the first season finale since Rival Destinies’s Giovanni confrontation to feel like a season finale but NOT be a series finale. We all know how arbitrary dub season dividers can be, but Horizons seems to actually be CONSCIOUS about it. These are intentional decisions. Now a “2 arcs to a dub season” rule is 85% confirmed (because the given description of The Search for Laqua mentions the Rayquaza Rising arc) but that’s because that’s as far as can be teased without potentially spoiling Japan. It’s really interesting seeing how both sides function in this new frontier
