If I were to put my thoughts on a scale they would tip in Martin's favor, but I think what Star is saying is fair. Star has a lot on her plate right now and the last thing she needs is feeling guilty over upsetting Manda. And I feel fairly confident in saying that it would crush her. The bedrock of a D/s (or in this context Big/little) relationship is the sub putting their confidence and trust in the Dom to safely push them more and more out of their comfort zone to a place they want to be but can't get to on their own. While obviously Manda is in no way at fault she probably wouldn't see it that way (initially) and blame herself for Star's predicament. She invited Star to the party, she made Star wear the more ridiculous diapers and pink dress, she decided to give Star the spanking, she literally handed Star over to her current abuser. Again this isn't blaming Manda for anything, just the thoughts that would likely pop up in her head. Ultimately she deserves to know, after all she is kinda the co-star of Stars blackmail movie, but maybe not right this moment.

We actually used to have this (admittedly creepy) bunny doll (was a Sylvanian Families one now I think about it) that used to lurk in our cabinet at home and did the same thing... Except it would squeak out loudly whenever it heard anything. Kinda like the monkey from Toy Story 3... That would have put me right off of romantic stuff in our living room =p
