I can't thank you guys enough

I just want to say how grateful I am to each and every one of you. Some of you have been supporting me since I launched my Patreon, and I'm continually amazed by your generosity. Seriously. It means more to me than many of you know.

I feel an obligation to make the best videos possible for you, and though Atun-Shei Films is still very much a mom and pop operation, I consider it to be a part time job... and let me tell you, making weird, theatrical educational videos is the best gig I've ever had by far.

In the Summer of 2019 I quit my four-year job as a New Orleans tour guide. I was completely sick of it, and I wanted to take some time off before finding work in my chosen field of filmmaking. So I traveled for a bit, and when I got home, threw myself into YouTube. I've had a couple of videography and editing gigs since, but your patronage has been my steadiest income for the past six months.

I make videos because I have something to say – but ultimately, I put so much time and effort into them because you have faith in me as an educator and entertainer.

And yeah, the money I make off YouTube is not a proper living... but I want you to know that you are the reason I'm doing work I'm passionate about, and not slaving away in a cubicle somewhere.

At the moment, my filmmaking partner and I are in pre-production for a feature film about witch hunters in 17th century Massachusetts – sadly, it is not called Witchfinder General: The Movie, but nonetheless it's a project I believe in deeply and (unlike many other YouTubers' feature films... looking at you, Space Cop) I think it's going to be pretty damn good.

I wrote the script last October – my research for it actually inspired that first WItchfinder General video – and in the intervening months have been casting, scheduling, location scouting up in New England, finding a tailor to make costumes using historically accurate fabrics and dyes, you name it. We're going to crowdfund most of the budget in March, and provided that goes well, this movie is happening!

If not for you guys, I would have gotten a boring job as soon as I returned from my summer vacation last year, and there's no way I would have found time to do all that.

Anyway... never make Patreon posts after midnight three beers in. Love y'all... and thank you again, from my bottom of my heart.
