Plans for Winter 2021

Hey all, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas (if you celebrate it) despite the hardships of this year. I can't tell you how appreciative I am of your continued financial support, given... well... *gestures broadly at everything.* And to those who became patrons after the latest Checkmate Lincolnites video, welcome!

I just wanted to give you an update about what the next two months or so will bring to the channel. In a recent poll, my $50 patrons in the Stonewall Brigade voted that the next big video they'd like to see is the first episode of Frozen '50s Man, a new series about a hardline anti-communist detective from the 1950s solving crimes in the modern day. It'll be set in the Bywater, a notoriously trendy neighborhood here in New Orleans, and much of the comedy will result from the detective's interactions with the hipsters around him. It'll be much like the Nazi Roommate sketch, in that it'll be primarily entertainment but based in accurate history.

That'll be my main focus in January, but because it's a bigger project that I suspect won't be done until sometime in February, I have a few less elaborate video ideas in the docket:

1) A rant-y type video about how sick I am of military history

2) A deep dive into the neuroses of Stonewall Jackson

3) A video essay review of Terrence Malik's The New World, which is one of those movies that's infuriatingly mediocre from both a historical and a filmmaking perspective

4) By popular demand, an "OST album" of the original music that my buddy Dillon has composed for the channel, like the Witchfinder General's theme, the Wagnerian march from the Nazi videos, the 1861 Overture and various background tracks
