As Rush Limbaugh lovingly called his audience, they are dittoheads. They exist within a universe of argumentum ad hominem wielded by MAGA, e.g. RFK Jr., and seemingly unreachable by the scientific method and its practitioners. The power of the mob and personal attack remains an anathema to science and a threat to safety and social order which will be increasingly violent under the corruption of T2MAGAlardo. Under these circumstances the refusal to recognize the complex results of the self-correcting scientific method will contribute to the failure of democratic society and rise of kleptocracy on the backs of the terminally uneducated. The structural anarchy imposed on our nation by populism, programmatic misinformation, wealth and educational disparity at a time of environmental challenges and imperial conflict can’t be underestimated.
