The technicians left Max in a heavy containment area on a sparse medical bed. As they closed the door and the bolts sealed it, medical sensors and cameras came to life all around him. The General and Colonel stared at him from the side in the makeshift cage.
General: "What the hell have they done? Do we even know if this kid is going to wake up?"
Colonel: "They won't tell us anything, but they seemed confident. I am still baffled by what we just witnessed."
General: "Everyone is. It was like magic really, no?"
Colonel: "Black magic, and nothing about this seems like a good idea."
General: "I've warned you before, this is not our call. Just keep an eye on it and keep the place safe."
Colonel: "Safe is getting these outsiders back to where they came from."
General: "Sure. Reality is that's not going to happen. I'm going to the Command Center. Keep an eye on him."
Colonel: "Sure thing."
