ALEXiThymia: Announcement: (On Story Growth/Direction)
Added 2022-11-15 00:43:15 +0000 UTCFirst of all, I would like to thank a number of readers for bringing up a concern on this story growing into or becoming a romantic story.
Rest assured, that I do not intend for this to be a book on Alexa having romantic relationships. Instead I see the beauty of this story being the way Alexa goes out each day and gives everything she has. This constant pushing herself generates a positive impact on the world around her. From this impact, people will naturally be drawn in, but note that is mostly on them, rather than Alexa.
So, thank you for bringing this up, as again it is not my intent to make this into a romantic relationship story, but rather a story built on a person with disabilities going out and making the world better, by just being themselves. IF I EVER STRAY FROM THAT CONCEPT, OR IF YOU HAVE THESE TYPES OF CONCERNS, PLEASE CONTINUE TO BRING THEM UP.
But again, a real romantic relationship would only detract from the true beauty that this story is about.

Thank you all for expressing your cares and concerns early on. I learned a long time ago that everyone here wants the same thing I do "to make these stories as good as possible."

2022-11-15 03:30:53 +0000 UTCYeah, I won't like that was the natural progression I had to go through. It's eerie how relatable she is. Years and years of having to learn and figure out people. So far, I think is my favorite story of the three you have up.

2022-11-15 01:00:03 +0000 UTCThank you. Also note, that while romantic relationships are likely a no-go (at least for a while). I do see value in her trying to actually make and keep friends. Something she noted was hard for her to do in the past. That (making and maintaining healthy friendships) I DO intend to make part of this story.

2022-11-15 00:52:07 +0000 UTCI will say that I do not expect romance, but I also do see it as part of her giving her all in figuring out how to have it at the same point. I really like Gina for her so far as in she seems to be able to relate the easiest. Reading you rother stories, you do have romance but you don't let it pull away from the story or the character for it. As someone who has accepted the high functioning autistic side of themselves, seeing Alex is so damn relatable and that will come up too. Just write and let her come to life.
