2025-07-10 04:24:38 +0000 UTCThere may be more, but all those references to Makoto calling Tomoe a "corrupt magistrate" or at least a "hooligan" are references to cliche characters in historical dramas. Later Tomoe talks about Makoto being the "old lord" and wanting Makoto to refer himself as "mineself" (washi) are more references. Washi is an archaic way for a man to say "I", but it is still sometimes used by older men.
