With Fern, it's important to remember she was raised by a priest-her moral judgements are fierce, lol. And sometimes totally off base-such as her refusal to let Stark carry Frieren.

And there is something potentially worse coming someday. But, if most of the world believes that the sword is now buried with Himmel no potential hero would go to the village to try to pull the sword
