Come to think of it, does Rimuru's human form even have organs, I don't think it does.

The fact that Rimuru (Human) is holding Shizue, who in turn is holding Rimuru (Slime) in the series thumbnail got me thinking they where all completely different people. Little did I know the show would pull a fast one on us and make it so that episode 8 onward they would all technically be the same person.
Edit: clarification

yep.. devoured and dead.. although.. kinda confused how that works in Veldora/Ifrit case.. :D i mean.. they was devoured (by predator skill) too :D well.. i guess Veldora was protected by the barrier.. Ifrit wasnt :D maybe Rimuru can choose if by predator skill he can either absorb/kill or inprison ?? :D also why she was dying without Ifrit.. (touch me said something already) but they will explain it later :)

3 things people tend to miss/misunderstand :
- Shizu is actually dead , she ain't living inside of him like Veldora does
- She was traveling with those three for at least 2 weeks and they went through a few adventures , a lot of reactors I've seen were wondering as to why were they so attached to her
- Ifrit was keeping her "young" and alive at that point , so without him she just caught up to her age for a lack of better words
