Judgment Commentary! | The Rising of the Shield Hero | Episode 20 "Battle of Good and Evil"

I plan to Post Things under the Past Videos, Things i posted back then when the Anime was airing weekly and i supported other Reactors with it. So if your interested and have the Time, you can read it (if its not Things that are already stated in a Comment especially) Btw, The Reason why Naofumi is thinking about That Raphtalia like a Daughter has a good Reason that they sadly dont explained in the Anime. One of the Main Points was that after the Mock Battle (From EP4) with Motoyasu, at the Next Morning, they were sitting next to each other in a Small Room and were holding Hands, Naofumi then wanted to thank Raphtalia and kissed her on the Cheek, she was so surprised that she jumped to the other sides Wall and was Red in the Face like a Tomato and was mumbling something, Naofumi then was thinking that she Hate this Stuff and that she never would see him as someone she loves in a Romantic Way, and that she want to Safe the World etc. So he decided to look at her only as a Daughter, but Raphtalia Wishes he would look at her as a Woman, but for his Sake she never pushes it on him. She try to show him her Feelings ( Showing her naked Body and make Hints that she loves him) but he is a blunt one and missunderstand it everytime.

Continuation: Naofumi did absolutely not say "help me please!" to the other heroes,.. In fact, when he transformed his shield or rage and prepared to use Blood Sacrifice, the other heroes said that the shield looked even more ominous than before, to which Naofumi responded "It's [my strongest shield's strongest skill], I'll probably use it on you some day. Attack him and give me a chance to use it." (Book 4, chapter 10, Page 272) The Blood Sacrifice was a lot more brutal in the books, paradoxically so because it dealt a less damage. It took at least four good chomps to kill the high priest, he did not die all that quickly. (Book 4, Chapter 10, Page 279). Speaking of the high priest, one of the few improvements made over the books in the anime was the fact that the high priest was a lot more of a pure evil delusional villain in the books, saying things like "yes, I am like god! No I AM god! Yes! Let's kill those who oppose me!" (Book 4, Chapter 9, Page 267) Also regarding him, it was another power feat for his replica weapon, in the sword form, he could swing towards the ground, causing a massive earthquake that caused cracks in the ground from which magma welled out. (Which also kind of destroyed a large potion of the queens troops) (Book 4, Chapter 9, Page 267)

Some differences I noticed (by the way, from now on I'll try to source what I say, if there is no source, I'm stil believing in what I write, but I guess you should take it with a grain of salt): Motoyasu in the novels is still portrayed as a moron, but he isn't as outright stupid. When Naofumi told him to to attack him (which was before the other heroes showed up actually), Motoyasu realised himself pretty much immediately what the plan was. (Book 4, Chapter 9, Page 245). The spell "Cathedral" just kinda, didn't exist in the novels? There are however two spells that may or may not have been merged into the cathedral spell in the anime. The first of them is "Sanctuary," which was as described as a white light that blew Naofumi's curse away (Book 4, Chapter 9, page 246). The second is "Castle Wall," which was described as a wall of light enveloping the high priest (pope) and kind of looked like a fort (Book 4, Chapter 9, page 250). There was no black demonic sky mentioned as far as I remember.

sounds like you've read the novels, please aid me so I know if I've gone insane! I recently posted something that may or may not be incorrect, namely that the "weapons from the previous heroes don't disappear, and that the crypt that Ren and Itsuki investigated is where they should have been." Do you remember well enough to tell me if this is true, partially true, or completely untrue?

With the help of Filo and Raphtalia, Naofumi is able to control the anger of the dragon's core in the Shield of Wrath Ⅱ and direct it towards his enemy. The Shield of Wrath Ⅱ’s dragon-like figure becomes even more ominous compared to before when it upgraded to Shield of Wrath III . The shield's dragon features morph to be more devil-like and the horns curl around. After building up the anger the ability 「Blutopfer」 (which means blood sacrifice in German) is unlocked. 「Blutopfer」 is like a steel bear trap that has multiple layers. It looks like the ground grew a shark’s mouth, with the target in the middle. Although it is extremely powerful 「Blutopfer」 is also very taxing. Using it drains the users blood and curses them, cutting all of the users stats by 30% except for defense (reference from Chapter 10 of Volume 4) until the curse is cured completely. In addition to that, after using it the user will be left unconscious for at least a day if treated properly and may feel lethargic when they regain consciousnesses. If they are not treated in a timely manner, they will suffer death. Weapon: Shield of Wrath Ⅲ Requirements: Armour that consumes the user "Grow Up" achieved due to released emotions. Equipment Bonus: 「Change Shield (Attack)」「Iron Maiden」 「Blutopfer」 True power : unsealed Special effect: Strength Up,「Dark Curse Burning Physical」,「Roar of the Raging Dragon」,「Roar」,「Frenzy of Companions」,Magic Sharing, Clothes of Anger (Intermediate) In the Light Novel, Blutopfer looked like this: https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/the-rising-of-the-shield-hero/images/3/3f/LNv04.08.png/revision/latest?cb=20171222161047
