Chapter 21



Title: The Marauders...

As I and Dumbledore pass some time together, with him teaching me dozens of variations of his Eye Twinkle Charm. I must say, the many creative ways that he taught me on how to use such a simple charm is simply genius. 

Anyway, as he went away, I could only internally release a breath of relief. At least I learned a spell that makes me look cool, mysterious, and frightening when I want. That little charm really has a lot of uses…


Still though, seeing Dumbledore's genius humbled me for once. I looked at my hand, it was covered by bandages and some healing potions. I clench my hand into a fist…


I might have started learning magic many years earlier than my peers so I am definitely better than them. But my eight or so years of learning magic is nothing compared to Dumbledore's century of learning magic. I am simply an amateur when compared to him. It seems like I will need to accelerate some of my plans. I should start delving into rituals and darker magic, people can say whatever they want, but the way to get power fast is by what is classified as 'dark' magic. But I won't risk it going into the restricted section. That might just give a reason to Dumbledore to pull out the Elder Wand and use the Legilimency spell on me at full power… now that would be over for me. I know I can't resist the Legilimency attack from someone at Dumbledore's level when he is serious.

One whole month has passed since Dumbledore and I had talked in the nursery. As the month passes, after a brief rise to my fame, things settle down. Though now I am literally on the Quidditch record books now. I definitely used my newfound fame to my advantage. I also had some of the senior's personal notes on some of the electives in the later years.


Currently, I am just walking out of the library after another successful research session, it is in the afternoon but it is November so it is a little chilly on the outside. As I breathe I can see my breath fog in front of me, as I walk I see some students give me some side glances. I even see some Slytherins nod at me and I nod back. I have definitely used my good looks and made 'friends' with some of them during our meetings in the Slug Club. 


Of course, we have the unspoken deal that they don't care about the company I decide to surround myself with and I will force myself to shake hands with inbred retards like them. They could be carrying different diseases, I am definitely glad that mom fucked people outside of the magical community. I mean I know how far inbreeding can go, look at the royal families of the past. All inbreed, and all fell one by one.

As I am walking suddenly I stumble forward and…

Baam!

I fell on the ground… What?


While still on the ground I look around and see some of the students laughing. I look in their eyes and use Legilimency, I immediately learn who they assume it is… the Marauders… they started messing with me. It is like a tradition that they must prank every student in the school at least once.


As I get up the people around me immediately stop laughing as they see the cold look that appears on my eyes. And my eyes are shining ominously. I just walk away from this, I even use one of the secret exits in the castle where I slip into it without anyone noticing me. 


I pull out my wand and do a quick check on what general spells. I see that it was just the knockback jinx. I immediately let out a sigh of annoyance. I am not omnipresent so obviously, things like this can happen and I can't be 24/7 on guard, especially here at Hogwarts.

Well… since they are kids I will only cripple them for doing this to me… maybe then they will learn not to mess with their betters. Only the weaker people should be bullied… no one would bully a bear. Because they will be ripped apart. I will show them what messing with someone like me will get them.


Anyway, crippling them could cause trouble for me so I guess I won't do that. But they need to learn not to mess with me anymore, also the thing is that my reputation might just drop because of this little prank of theirs… Well, I guess blackmail should be enough to teach them a lesson.

It doesn't take even two hours for me to find and catch up to the Marauders, that was all thanks to my own Map. 


When I find the kids they are actually in their Gryffindor common room and by using Legilimency and some small quantity of Confundous charm. They all just ignored me and kept walking as if nothing happened.


In the end, I arrive in their common room and see the four people that I was looking for: Lupin, James, Petter, and Serius. They were talking about something but I just entered the conversation by saying. "Welp, I see that you are all happy and nice now."


They immediately turn around and look at me. I just nonchalantly say. "Wow, so we have a werewolf amongst us. I will keep this short then, mess with me one more time, and the whole school will know what Lupin really is, but you can avoid that when you apologize to me during dinner. If you don't do as I am telling on you and keeping your little secrets, I am definitely taking the information of you being illegal animaguses to the minimum for their will have a fun day as you and your friend rot in Azkaban. We clear…?"



Immediately they nod, they are all children so as soon as they understand that their actions have consequences they become scared kittens.



In the end… I just slip away from the Gryffindor common room using one of the castle's hidden places. Anyway, that should stop then, I won't let some kids come and mess around with me. They should be glad I didn't break their knee caps… I will do that if they feel like doing something like that again.

At dinner, it is Sirius who gets up and says the apology for me. He pulls out a piece of paper and starts reading it. "U -Uhh… we the Marauders would like to apologize to Gilderoy Lockhart for a prank that we pulled on him."


After that he immediately sits down and the Marauders are very quiet for the rest of the dinner. Well, I am okay with that apology, I guess they do care about their friends.

Other students gathered around me and asked how I was able to get them to do that… obviously I didn't tell any of them the truth.

Just like that half a month passes in a blink of an eye to me, and it is currently the 22nd of December and the Christmas holidays will start today. The break will last only one week and then back to school a little after new years.


Students can go back home and meet their families if they want but of course I didn't go back home, that would just be a waste of time. So I decided to keep learning new things at Hogwarts and that as it was pretty much only me in my room as my roommate went back home, so here I am now throwing spells all around my room as I also have a couple potions brewing in the corner of the room.

AUTHOR NOTE:
As we can see the MC is very petty and won't tolerate anything against him, he is willing to cripple the Marauders just for a small prank on him, though in the end didn't do so because the problems it would bring on him.


P.S: The MC also recognizes he distance between him and someone like Dumbledore.
