Chapter 25



Title: End Of The First Year….

After the Charms Exam, the next day came and Lockhart had the Transfiguration exam. He isn’t really worried about it at all. He knows that there is no way that he will not be able to finish an easy exam like this.

 As he enters the room, McGonagall is already there before any of her students she looks at them all with a sharp look in her eyes. It makes some of the kids nervous, especially the ones who plan to cheat or something like that. Lockhart on the other hand has a calm look on his face as he just sits down in one of the front desks.

It doesn’t take him long to finish the written exam. Also, the practical exam was to turn a mouse into a matchbox, Gilderoy did the spell without any incantation and he left the classroom. He was already bored, he didn’t want to waste too much time on exams and such useless stuff. He has more important stuff to do.

During the rest of the week, he finished all of the exams. He did every single one of them with remarkable ease and wnt beyond what a student should be able to do. He finished Transfiguration, Charms, Defense Against The Dark Arts, Astronomy, and Herbology… well there was flying too but he automatically got the maximum points on that one. D.A.D.A was held by professor Dumbledore due to Miss Jackson getting arrested for inappropriate behavior with minors. It was a whole big deal as professor Dumbledore caught Miss Jackson together with a male and female student having a threesome. She was immediately fired and will never be able to find a teaching job ever again and it was suggested that she should be thrown in Azkaban. But in the end, the verdict was nulled as there wasn’t enough evidence to put her in that place. But they still out the woman under house arrest. 


Gilderoy has stayed away from that mess altogether. Too much of a bother to try and fix the things, though he did recognize that she must have been using some type of Succubus Ritual as the guy was tired a couple of days and he even flopped his exams due to being too tired to study.

Flitwick and Gilderoy meet up in the professors’ office, as Gil enters the office in there are professor Slughorn and a blond woman with half tilted glasses. She had a very… nice figure and Gilderoy could easily notice the countless beauty charms that the woman had no herself. From the anti-wrinkles to breast enlarging and belly tuck charms. 

Of course, since Gil could tell, so could the other professors. But neither of them said anything about it. Slughorn has a cheerful look on his face as he introduces Gilderoy. “Miss Henderson, this is the boy I was talking about. His name is Gilderoy Lockhart, youngest Chaser of the century and already at only eleven years old has put himself in the annals of history due to his high scores on the Quidditch field.”


The woman nods at this and looks at Gilderoy, she could see his polite smile as he looks at her. Immediately he can notice the hair fluttering charm that Gilderoy has on and teeth shining too. She can see that the charms are perfectly put and they look almost like they are apart of his natural looks. 

“Nice to meet you mister Lockhart, professor Slughorn says that your book is phenomenal as it shows has easy charms and the chores that you can do with them. What was the book called again?” As she says that she has an appointed look on her face. Slughorn had told her that she could try to underpay Gilderoy for his work... if she could trick him that is. 

Slughorn on the other hand just looks at the show from the sidelines. He was 100% confident in Lockhart, the kid couldn’t be tricked even by the devil himself. ‘We will see who the one to be tricked will be.’


Both Slughorn and Flitwick just look at the situation from the sidelines. Tough they will never admit it out loud, Lockhart is their favorite student. Their thought process was along the lines that as long as Lockhart isn’t tricked too deeply then they won’t interfere, he could use this mistake of his as a lesson on how to negotiate in the future.

In the end, Lockhart with a smile still on his face says. “Well, it is more along the lines of an entertainment book, and during these times. Getting your mind off the things going around the world would help some people and stop this from happening would be very bad for some people who might have been helped with this book. Also, I am a new writer and young so some huge cut on my income would discourage me... “


When Lockhart says that the three adults wince a little. He just pretty much said that if the cut tat he will get is too little, he wouldn’t be able to write the book and pretty much said that if she did something like that she would be putting down people that would have been helped by the book… pretty much she would be helping Voldemort if she tried to trick him. 

Lockhart pulled out a bazooka in a fistfight pretty much and accused her that she would be supporting Voldemort if she didn’t publish his book. No right adult would do that method to negotiate with someone, but Lockhart is a child and he knows that children don’t get any repercussions for what they say. So he is using that to his advantage and pretty much threatening the Editor woman with defamation of character and that she supported Voldemort.


The woman wanted to say something harsh but she saw the trap that she as pulled in. she could only sigh at this. In her eyes, it isn’t worth it to bully a kid and ruin her reputation anyway.

In the end, Lockhart got 90% of the income that will come from this book, an annoyed editor walked out of the room, and Slughorn together with Flitwick had uncomfortable looks on their faces. Gilderoy used Voldemort’s name more than twenty times in a thirty-minute discussion. He pretty much accused the woman indirectly of being a death eater. 

Lockhart just whistled in a tune as the woman walked out of the door. He looked at the cringing faces of his teachers. “What? You thought she would trick me?”


Slughorn in the end smiled at Lockhart. “That was brutal… she might hold grudge against you.”


Gilderoy shrugs at this. “Well… it doesn’t matter as I don’t plan to use her as an editor anymore. Also in the future, if she tries something, she will learn that I can be a very petty person.”

Later that week Lockhart birds the Hogwarts Express… he is returning home, as he boards, the train he has a smile on his face. ‘Ahhh… so many things left to do, so many things to learn. But now that I have my wand and such thing. I must start playing harsher in this little magic game of mine. Also soon I will get a source of income too…’
