Chapter 25

As Xenovia crashes through the trees, Haruto still has a smug smile on his face. "Amazing isn't it Xenovia? You are quite the big girl now aren't you?"


She doesn't say anything as she gets up and charges at Haruto. "Fight me like a man you bastard. Don't use your magic tricks."


Fwosh!


She slashes at him, but he sidesteps the slash and gives her a quick jab to the stomach.


Baam!!


*cough* Xenovia falls to her knees as spit comes out of her mouth, her eyes widening in pain.


Haruto just brushes off his hand with a smirk on his face. "You are hard Xenovia. Those abdominal muscles of yours are crazy."


Fwish!


She slashes at Haruto again, but he dodges easily once more. 

Pow!


This time, he kicks Excalibur Destruction off her hand and roundhouse kicks her on the face.


Baam!!


Irina winces slightly at this. "Damn, Haruto never goes easy on anyone. Not even a ladylike Xenovia."


"That is because I don't consider her a lady!" Says Haruto out loud, the smirk still very apparent on his face. Xenovia gets up once more and wipes the blood off her nose, a blush on her face, a little embarrassed at how he addresses her. But Haruto continues. "Also, I am a gentleman, I never hit a lady."


Jeanne and Irina look at him with deadpan looks. 

"So… that time you tripped a little kid at the church so she would fall face first is called gentlemanly?" Asks Irina, her eyes staring holes at Haruto who only looks to the side.


"That… uhhh... was an accident?" Explains Haruto, his voice sounding unsure and more like a question.


"Accident?!!" Exclaims Jeanne. "That sounds exactly like something you would do."

"Plus you bragged about it after tripping the kid." Says Irina while pouting at Haruto. They all know that he is the furthest from a gentleman. He would drop kick a woman without a second thought.


"Wow, now I am being double-teamed!!" Exclaims Haruto, trying to play the victim, while Xenovia gets up and tries to slash at him. But he easily dodges all of the attacks and keeps kicking her around a couple more times. Though his body is at its weakest that it has been in a long time, he is still in good enough shape to kick around Xenovia.


Jeanne has a smile on her face as she has Irina turn her Excalibur Mimic into a chain to tie up Xenovia, so she doesn't attack Haruto.


"So… how have you been?" Asks Jeanne, the tone on her voice being weird and rigid instead of her usual lively and happy voice.


"Good, what about you?" Asks Haruto as he goes towards Irina and creepily massages her shoulders. "Hmm… Irina, it seems like you have a lot of pressure on your back. Have you been sleeping well?"


"Y -Yeah." Says Irina embarrassed. She and Haruto have been childhood friends, and he has always been like this, shameless. Not that she minds him touching her, but he always does it so randomly and out of nowhere. "I haven't been able to sleep in my stomach lately… my chest has grown too large to do so."


"I see…" Says Haruto as he sees Irina just look and touch her well-developed chest in annoyance. "Want me to massage it too?"


BOOOM!!!



Haruto's head whips to the side as a sword is shot towards it. He glances at Jeanne and sees her with an absolutely livid expression on her face.

"YOU BASTARD!!!" Yells Jeanne. "You dare to cheat in front of my eyes?!!"


Countless holy swords are created by her Blade Blacksmiths and shot at Haruto. The latter just grabs Irina in a princess carry and she yelps at this.


"Up we go now." Says Haruto, a smile still on his face as a green magic circle appears below his feet. 

Fwosh!


He easily jumps up high, dodging the countless Holy Swords that rapidly fire at him. 

Irina blushes at this slightly, she has had feelings for Haruto ever since she could remember. She wanted to confess her feelings to him for a long time. But Jeanne came into the picture… and well… she took a liking to him. She was braver and more direct than her, so as Haruto went to his Magic School and Jeanne was raising to become a fighter for the church, they were dating. 


At least until Haruto and Xenovia's teacher… well… they did something that created a scandal for the famous exorcist Griselda, creating a stain in her reputation. So Xenovia has since then heated Haruto with a passion, and he isn't someone to go easy on anyone.


Countless holy swords still shoot at Haruto, but he has a smile on his face as he casually flies through them. 

"Your aim has gotten better." Comments Haruto casually. 

Jeanne isn't willing to share Haruto with anyone, and she is spiteful whenever she sees him acting improperly with another woman. She isn't wrong to act like that, Haruto has cheated on her countless times, but she only knows about that one time with Griselda.


Still, Haruto gets bored of this little game of his after a dozen or so seconds. He doesn't wanna spend so much time just playing around with them.


So he looks at Jeanne and creates a shield around himself.

After that, he charges at Jeanne and as her swords make contact with the shield, they all break. She gets ready to use her Balance Breaker, and Haruto notices this, so he speeds up and appears in front of her, and slaps Jeanne.


Pow!



The slap sounds through the forest, and Jeanne couldn't even react to it.


"Get a grip, now is not the time for games." Says Haruto harshly. "I know exactly why you are here in Kuoh Town."


Jeanne has a blush on her face as she hears that. 'Heh, I know that he cares even if he acts like a jackasś most of the time.'


"And why does that concern you?" Questions Jeanne with a pointed look.


Haruto frowns and extends his hand towards her, cupping her cheek and saying. "Jeanne, of course, that concerns me. After all... I do love you."


Jeanne immediately blushes at this and pushes Haruto away. "Don't say something like that, stupid, stupid, stupid."


But even though she said that Jeanne felt some feelings inside her be rekindled as she looked at Haruto. She even ignored Irina who he was holding in his arm, the girl felt like a 3rd wheel once again in this meeting.

But unlike Jeanne, she doesn't mind sharing him. Though she won't express her feelings to him because she wants to stay pure like an angel for the rest of her life.

After that whole ordeal, everyone calmed down, and even Xenovia stopped attacking him. Haruto is then told about the situation (that he already knew about).

"So what is your secret weapon then?" Asks Haruto casually.


"Durandal." Says Jeanne, without missing a beat.


"Jeanne?!! Don't tell that to someone like him!" Exclaims Xenovia in shock.


Jeanne looks at the blue-haired girl and says. "Don't ever dare question Haruto's trustworthiness or I will… kill you Xenovia."
