DxD Crawling To The TOP

Chapter 29

It doesn't take long as the next day I go to school I can sense the multiple auras that dwarf the others appear. 


Sirzechs and Serafall, the latter of which I was extremely familiar with. I hope that Athena and Serafall don't meet each other. That would be the worst type of scenario.


I know Athena is logical enough to not attack, but Serafall… she is a smart woman, after all, she is the Satan in charge of foreign affairs. But, she is also a person who doesn't keep her emotions bottled up. She went up and bashed me on Devil TV soon after I cheated on her. Yeah, not a good thing for her since it would put stains on her reputation.


Still, I trust Athena to not confront Serafall and consciously avoid the magical girl. Still, I also trust Serafall to try and cause trouble for me. She definitely will… she acts like a child, and she sometimes even has the disposition of one.

I meet Rias in the corridor and she seems gloomy too, even though she has a smile on her face. Right, today is the Class Observation day, where their families can see their children in the class.


"Hey, Haruto… can you come with me for a second?" Requests Rias, I can see the lustful glance in her eyes.


I only smile at her and silently cast some stealth magic on us. I don't want Sirzechs to walk on me blowing a load into his sister… or worst… Serafall….

Twenty minutes later and I walk out of a broom closet with a flushed Rias, who tries to fix her disheveled hair.


"Did anything interesting happen recently?" I ask her with a suggestive tone.

"Yeah, Xenovia joined my peerage…" Huffs Rias, she knows that I know what is already going on with her. "Also it seems like Sona's sister is here."


I wince slightly when I hear that. I act like I am nervous. But in reality, there is no need to be nervous. Serafall wouldn't do anything too drastic either, plus Athena can handle her.


Today should be the day that Sirzechs tries to meet up with me. Not as Haruto, the Existence Eater, and the Irregular Magician. But he will meet me as Haruto, Rias' boyfriend.

I went home and as expected, I saw Sirzechs, Rias' father and mother, and also Grayfia talking with my parents.


"Ah, I am glad my son finally decided to settle down." Says mom as tears come out of her eyes. She is a good-hearted woman who can't see me break so many young girl's hearts. "I never thought that he would settle down. Especially with such a nice girl like Rias."


That is when I see Grayfia go towards the kitchen. "I will make some tea for everyone."


She said that, but I could sense that she was there to meet with Athena, who just arrived there.

-General POV-


Grayfia walks toward the kitchen, her face calm. Though she couldn't help the slight nervousness in her heart. Athena was known as a wise goddess, but not a kind one. After Medusa's r*pe on the hands of Poseidon, she took that chance to turn Medusa into a monster. She didn't do it as a form of punishing the young woman because she lost her virginity, even if she made the excuse of doing it for that. 

She did it simply because people started to call Medusa prettier than her even when they were in her temples. 


Still to this day Athena keeps the woman's head on her shield. To be used by her forevermore.


But Grayfia also knows another thing, that type of woman betrayed the Olympian Gods for Haruto. Meaning that she truly did love the man, going as far as to accept the high chance of death while escaping Olympus just to be with a teenage boy.


She would be lying if she wasn't worried about Rias. The Goddess of Wisdom was a vindictive b*tch in her eyes, and she had every reason to be so cautious.

'They truly deserve each other.' Thinks Grayfia, thinking that Athena and Haruto were made for each other. Both more vindictive than the other. The things that Haruto has done aren't any better than Athena either.


Athena is just sitting in the kitchen and seems to be preparing a lunch box. "Oh, so the slutty maid came to meet me? I always wondered if you were doing this out of duty, or were you always into this slutty maid act."


Grayfia doesn't say anything as she hears Athena say that. It would be useless, and she is weaker than the Goddess of Wisdom anyway, so she doesn't see a need for retaliation.


"I have come here to inform you that... should you hurt Rias…" Grayfia left the threats unsaid. Because while she couldn't beat Athena, Sirzechs could do so, and with relative ease too.


Athena doesn't pay any attention to this as she draws a heart on the omelet in the lunch box. "Honestly, sis-con Satan has a way with his words. But I don't take orders from some two-bit sis-con."


Grayfia frowns at this because while she doesn't mind Athena's insults at her. Insulting Sirzechs in front of her is a whole other matter.


"Don't worry little devil b*tch. I won't touch Rias." Says Athena casually as she closes the lunch box. "But threaten me once more and you will regret it. I will fu*k up all of the Underworld. I listen to Haruto, not some up jumped sis-con or some maid b*tch."


Grayfia frowns, but she nods in the end. This is the best scenario, at least for now. Gods in general are all arrogant, though there are some exceptions. But in the end, no God would bow down to a devil. Because even the weakest of Gods can defeat the strongest of Devils… any God can defeat Ultimate Class Devils and even the average Satan Class.


This was the difference in specs, and powers give in Race. Though Gods do generally have a harder time holding onto their power for too long due to the belief and miracle system.


Still, Grayfia knows that Athena doesn't have that problem. Though she will never say it out loud, she knows that Haruto is called the Irregular Magician for a reason. He has overcome this belief system and has made Athena's power self-sufficient.

Every God wants that, but Haruto hasn't been giving it to any of them except his lover. It shows the degree of trust he had in her. 


'Haruto… taming a Goddess like Athena. He is way scarier than the Olympian Goddess in front of me.' Contemplates Grayfia, as she bows slightly and walks off.

Athena frowns as she sees Grayfia walk off.


"You can come out now." Says Athena, with a calm look as she looks at the side.

"Ah, as expected, you found me out." Comes Haruto's voice as seemingly a curtain of air is ripped off. Revealing Haruto with a smile on his face. "Wanna have some fun in my room while these people have their boring talks?"


Athena's face morphs into a happy expression at that. "You know me too well…"

Had some exams these last couple of days. All finished now.


P.S: Though Athena is all sweet and nice with the MC. She is also a monster to some other people. Just like a soldier is a hero for his country and a villain to his enemy.
