Chapter 37



….
The next day the Three Factions Meeting comes, and Haruto goes out of the window this time as he doesn't want to have his mother nag at him all day long.

He has seen from the surveillance camera how Gabriel insinuates him… and her innocent wording was fatal. It made Haruto sound like a scumbag, blackmailing and manipulating asśhole… which he is, but he doesn't want everyone to know about that. Also what made it worse, is that technically all that Gabriel said is the truth and she didn't give any bad intentions when she said them or she would have fallen.


Today is a break for the school's anniversary. But it's because of the meeting between the three factions that will take place here.


Haruto is completely calm about this, unlike the others who are nervous. Because he knows that all of the faction leaders want peace. Some parts of their factions might not agree, but that doesn't matter to the leaders at all. They will just squash any resistance that they might meet.

It doesn't take long for the meeting to take place, the ORC Club together with Sona's Peerage, also all of the factions have two representatives from them. The devils had Serafall and Sirzechs. The fallen angels have Vali and Azazel, the whole Heaven's faction has Michael and Gabriel. Grayfia was also here, but she was just as a maid.

Haruto is there too, he is sitting down on a chair like the other leaders with Athena behind him just leaning on the wall. Issei kept sending lustful gazes towards her and Athena would release a slight holy aura, enough to make the devil not look at her. She would have used something that would have raptured his eyes, but she knew how important this meeting is. 


Athena was a goddess who wasn't nice to the men who showed affection to her and she didn't like back.


Haruto looks around the table and looks at every leader's eyes. Sirzech has a serious look, while Azazel has his feet on the table and leaning back with his chair with a playful smile very apparent on his face. Michael only has a friendly smile.


Haruto also has a serious look. In this table, there are some people weaker than him… and some who are stronger. Way stronger than him, his eyes wander at Sirzechs as he thinks of this.


"Well, I am here as the representative of the Abyss Auction. As you know me, my name is Haruto Shimura. The owner of the Abyss Auction and the moderator of this meeting. You can now continue your discussions." Says Haruto, his face serious which is unusual for him.


"Impressing as always, Haruto." Says Azazel. He would try to incite Haruto if this was a casual meeting, but now this is a serious one. And by some dumb luck, it worked for the first time, then it would be a bad place. Haruto is a moderator, he will approve of requests and make sure that no two factions team up against another.


Michael only nods at this, his eyes wander towards Asia and Xenovia. "As everyone here now knows… God is dead."


Asia's heart skips a beat at that, even if she knows about it already. She still gets nervous sometimes. 


"How are your new lives here?" Asks Michael again. Though this question isn't for worry, he wants to see the Devil's internal situation. But his wings don't even flicker. He is the relatively new Administrator of the Holy System, so he can't fall now… unless he wants to. Which he doesn't…


Xenovia is the first one to answer by saying. "Everything is amazing here. Though my efforts in trying to conceive a child with Haruto haven't been as she was hoping."


Immediately Haruto freezes in place for a split second in surprise. Still, he then smiles uncommonly at the three faction leaders and representatives looking at him. Serafall especially looks at him with a dangerous light in her eyes.

'What the hell is wrong with these church women?!!' Exclaims Haruto internally, first Gabriel, and now Xenovia. Still, outwardly he keeps up the front of being uncomfortable and he says. "This is only a misunderstanding. I and Xenovia don't have that kind of relationship."


"I see…" Is all they say, but Gabriel decides to intervene with a worried look on her face. "No, Haruto, you mustn't go around with multiple women. I know you are a kind man, I don't want you to fall prey to lust."


She gets close and clasps Haruto's face, making him look at her. Serafall takes this moment to have her demonic energy flow out of her. 

'Why the fu*k do things like this happen to me.' Complains Haruto, he knows that he is the root of the problem. But no one likes to admit their mistakes. Plus he isn't gonna waste a chance since he is in this world. 

In the end, he still has a gentle smile on his face, grasps Gabriel's hands and takes them away from his face. Serafall is a ticking time bomb, he doesn't want her to explode now.


"Gabriel, thanks for the advice." Haruto starts gently talking. Azazel only laughs at this, but he is ignored as Haruto continues. "But don't worry I won't fall into sin. I remember the day that you appeared when I prayed-"


"You were testing Heaven's System by using your magic energy to overflow the prayer system and try to manipulate miracles for yourself." Says Azazel smirking as he interrupts Haruto.


He hit the nail right in the head, Haruto wanted to create a bug in the system and give himself something like a limited Admin Access. Though in the end, he failed, and the bug was patched.

Athena looks at this with a smirk on her face. She likes to see Haruto nervous sometimes too, even if it is for a split second. But she doesn't want that situation to happen during such an important meeting. So she sends a glare at Azazel, which makes the Fallen Angel flinch slightly. Of course, Athena as a goddess is way above the fallen angel in terms of power. 


Every one of the Satan Class powers in the room notices what Athena did. Vali looks at her with a wild smile on his face, she just sensed something that seemed unimaginable. 


[Vali, don't anger that woman.] Albion's voice rings inside his head, as the dragon can sense the erratic state of Vali's emotions. [That woman is extremely dangerous and cruel. As a Greek Goddess she will go after people you care most likely.]


Grek Gods are known to be beyond cruel in fits of rage. Athena is no exception, even as the Goddess of Wisdom, she might seem calm most of the time… but angering her isn't a good idea at all. 


'Don't worry. I know I am not ready yet to fight someone like her.' Answers Vali internally. Still, Athena caught the gaze of the White Dragon Emperor, but she didn't even put him in her eyes. He is just too weak, even with Albion helping him, the half-devil can't use anywhere near the power that the dragon could with his original body.

After some ruckus, everything goes back to normal and Gabriel also calms down after pouting slightly. 


The discussions continue normally until suddenly the world around them seems to lose color for a split second. Magic barriers appear all around the school grounds, and even the building where the three factions are meeting. 


Haruto frowns at this, playing his part as if this was a surprise. After all, the Khaos Brigade did go through a lot to hide it from his information network. Though he already knew from the attack from the anime…


Azazel is still casual as he looks out of the window and sees countless magicians standing in magic circles. "Seems like we have company."


"Teleportation seems to have been blocked." Says Grayfia suddenly. "We will need to figure the barrier around the building before we want to try the standard mode of Teleportation. I will need some time to decode this magic."


Though she says that, she looks at Haruto… everyone does. If there was a number one human magician, the magic which deals with calculation. Then Haruto is number one. He even has magic contacts that connect to a supercomputer just in case he needs to do something like this.


"I will take care of it." Says Haruto, he sees that even Issei seems to be stuck in time. Though his mind is active and he is struggling against the 'restraints'.



His right eye shines blue for a split second. Azazel looks at this curiously. But being known as the Irregular Magician, Haruto has come with a lot of new ways to use magic.

"Amateurs." This is all Haruto says as he points his palm to one of the walls.

The air cracks and the barrier breaks. But he isn't finished as he points his other hand at Rias and Sona's group.

Crack!


Immediately everyone off them is released from the time stop effect.


Azazel is a little surprised at this. Even he isn't able to break someone else from Forbidden Balor's ability. He looks at Haruto, his mind wonders just how far the young kid's research into Sacred Gears goes. 

It's pretty much an open secret that Haruto studies sacred gear creation. 


'Such a shame.' Ponders Azazel, he knows that Haruto isn't the type to share his research… or anything for that matter. Also, no one from the Abyss Auction is hard to catch, they are like the boogie men, not all of them are that strong. But they can escape, and even if one was caught, the suicide silencing magic seal on their brains and hearts would explode…


Azazel will never admit it out loud, but he has tried more than once to investigate Abyss Auction, even going as far as being willing to bribe and torture people. But the Abyss Auction is creepy as hell to him, they all seem more like a cult around Haruto than an organization centered on profit.


He looks at Haruto and contemplates. 'I wonder if he would kill me if he knew that I have this type of information about his organization.'


"Anyway, Athena… Kill them all." Says Haruto, to which Athena nods and stops leaning on the wall anymore.
