Chapter 38

Athena teleports outside and her clothing changes, she now is wearing a white robe while her blonde hair flows. Two weapons also appear, a golden spear and a shield with Medusa's head embroidered into it.



"Vali..." Is all Azazel needs to say.


[White Dragon Balance Breaker!!]

Vali enters his Balance Breaker, goes outside, and starts killing magicians left and right.


Azazel's faction has caused quite a bit of trouble. First Raynare and then Kokabiel, so he has to show that he is sincere in this meeting. He can't just say that he is sincere now... he must show.


So when Katarea Leviathan appeared, he immediately saw a chance to deal with her and improve his image. Haruto just looks at this from the side, he isn't here to be a guard of the Three Factions. So he does not need to protect them, he just has Athena fighting to show the power of his organization. While at the same time, not showing too much about himself. 



Sirzechs creates a barrier around the meeting building. No magician will be able to break through it. Haruto just glances at the red-haired man. He knows just how strong Sirzechs is, especially in his true form. He is the man who is closest to Biblical God's power. He remembers that when he entered his True Form even Ddraig commented that Sirzechs was strong and had gone beyond what a Devil should be able to go. Also, Hades was shocked too, and said that his newly made Super Devils were no match for Sirzechs... and even he would have a hard fight.


This is the information that appears in Haruto's head as he looks at Sirzechs. He is in the Top 10... and if he goes full out he would make his 'rival' Ajuka not look that much. 


Still, in the end, Haruto dismisses the thought. He knows that when he tames this power inside of him... he will be able to defeat people like Sirzechs too. 


He lets Rias and her Peerage go to save Gasper and Koneko. But before they do so, Sirzechs looks at Azazel and asks. "How has your Sacred Gear research been going?"


Sigh... 

Azazel only sighs and takes out two bracelets with purple gems in them and throws the bracelets to Issei. 


"That should help you control Forbidden Balor View and Boosted Gear... the latter only for some time." Explains Azazel.

Azazel then goes and fights Katarea Leviathan. Haruto just looks at the fight casually as Azazel reveals his Artificial Sacred Gear, Downfall Dragon Spear. He also gives up his arm, but Haruto can now see a new viewpoint that he didn't have during the show. 


Was Azazel truly cornered enough by Katarea, even after she eats Ophis' snake, she doesn't exactly become a powerhouse. Azazel still has the advantage, especially with light spears which are like burning poison to devils. So him sacrificing his arm can be seen as him showing his sincerity to the other faction leaders. He is truly willing to give up things for this peace to happen. 


Haruto in the end also doesn't say anything at this and just slightly nods. Sirzechs and Michael also seem to accept the sacrifice. 


But at this immediate time, as Gasper seems to be freed, the effects of Forbidden Balor View stop. 


Baam!!

Immediately as that happens, Vali bashes into Azazel. Bashing him away.


Immediately Vali has to dodge another attack as Fallen Angels, Angels, and Devils flood the place. Haruto had already broken the outside barrier, so anyone could come in and go out now. So the armies of the three factions started slaughtering the magicians.


"So you now show your true colors Vali…" Says Azazel as he comes out of a crater.


"Sorry, Azazel. But I have found a more entertaining organization to join now." Says Vali, he then looks at Issei and dismisses him immediately. "It's truly a shame to have you as my rival. Issei Hyoudou… you will never be able to come close to me."


Then four pairs of devil wings appear behind his armor. "My name is Vali… Vali Lucifer."


Everyone is shocked at that, especially as Vali shows everyone his demonic energy. 


Haruto drones him out as Vali starts talking about destiny and how he is a miracle for being born as the blood of a Satan and at the same time being the White Dragon Emperor.


But in Haruto's eyes that isn't anything special. Vali is one very unsuitable to have a Dragon Sacred Gear, due to Dragons being creatures of emotion. That is why Issei's perverted personality gives him more power, a dragon expresses what he wants. Another thing is that Vali doesn't use magic or anything like it, he is just another raw power devil with power. 


'What a waste of talent.' Contemplates Haruto. Vali is talented to the extreme, but he only concentrates on his Sacred Gear.



"What about you, Existence Eater." Calls out Vali, bringing Haruto out of his musing.


"What do you want, little lizard?" Asks Haruto, annoying both Albion and Vali. "Do you want me to go and call daddy Lucifer?"


Vali's traumatic childhood makes him flinch for a split second at this. Though due to being in armor no one can see that. Azazel though knows that Vali is now quite annoyed.


"Why don't you fight your rival now?" Asks Haruto. "I am afraid that I am not a good enough magician to stop my magic from killing you."


Vali clenches his hand at this. He can see that Haruto doesn't consider him at the same level. 



Haruto smirks at this and just points his finger at Issei. A thin magic energy string goes towards Issei and pierces him.


<Forceful Sacred Gear Activation>


Immediately everyone's eyes widen as in Issei's hand a red gauntlet appears. 


[Boost]


Haruto smiles at this. "How about you fight your rival first. Then maybe I will consider fighting you little lizard."


A dark magic circle appears on Issei's forehead. Strange memories of Asia being r*ped and his parents being killed appear.


"<Forceful Activation: Welsh Dragon Balance Breaker>"



Even Ddraig inside the gauntlet is surprised at this, he feels a dark presence appear in the Boosted Gear which he immediately destroys. But it took enough power to allow Issei to have a forceful activation, something that should be impossible.



"Heh." Azazel chuckles at this and looks at Haruto. "That brat is something else. He actually found a bug in the system."



What Haruto just did is that for a split second he got Admin Access to the Boosted Gear, something that only God could hypothetically do. 


'One thing is for sure… his Sacred Gear research is further than mine.' Admits Azazel, even he can only give Issei a Balance Breaker by flooding his body with the energy from the bracelets. Tricking the Sacred Gear into thinking Issei is stronger. 



Vali doesn't care about Haruto tricking him and goes to fight Issei. 


Haruto only smirks at this and starts preparing some spells. He knows that Issei can't beat Vali. 

'He doesn't have Ascalon, so the pervert can't beat the emo.' Concludes Haruto, Sirzechs, and Michael don't seem to want to interfere in this. He also gave a signal to Athena to not interfere. He will have to show some of his power in the end.

*cough* Issei coughs out blood not even thirty seconds later as he slams into the ground. Vali is in the air with no injury on his person, not even a crack on his armor. 


"Disappointing." Huffs Vali. "Trash like you don't deserve the Boosted Gear."


Then he looks at Haruto who has his hands in his pockets while looking at Vali straight on.


"Your turn is next!" Exclaims Vali as within the blink of an eye he charges at Haruto, who has a casual smile on his face.


Fwish!


But his eyes widen as countless magic circles appear all around him. 



BOOOM!!


They all explode simultaneously. <Explosion Magic> a type of easy to learn magic. Haruto of course pushed it to the limit, he can create a nuclear level explosion. But this isn't the best time to use it now.


[Divide] [Divide] [Divide] [Divide] [Divide]


In the end, the explosion doesn't hurt Vali at all. His Dividing Gear halved the power of it until it became too weak to do any real damage. 


Haruto doesn't seem bothered by this at all. A casual smile still apparent on his face. 

"Use your sacred gear… or you will die." Says Vali, he is bothered how Haruto is not using his Minos Gear.


But Haruto just shrugs at that. "I am a mage, not really good at close-quarters combat."


Vali frowns at that and charges him again. This time he arrives within arm's length… 


Pow!

He punches right through Haruto, making the mage cough out blood. 


"[Vali!! Dodge!!]" Yells out Albion, but it's too late as the tip of a sword comes out of Vali's chest.


*cough* Vali coughs out a mouthful of blood, his eyes widening in shock. The Haruto in front of him dissipates, being an illusion all along.


"Hmmm… I should have gone for the head." Says Haruto out loud. "Thought you would be able to dodge that."


Fwish!


Vali just swings his armored fist backward, trying to bash Haruto.

Swish!

But his hand is stabbed by another knife. 


"Oh yeah… about me not being good at close quarters combat… that was a lie." Says Haruto, as a malicious smirk appears on his face. "You could say I am kind of decent."


Fwish! Fwish! Fwish! Fwish! Fwish!...


Countless knives stabbed into Vali all through his body before the latter could react. Blood flows out of him like a pool. The sword that Haruto has stabbed through Vali's chest is Ascalon, a very powerful Holy Dragon Slaying Sword… which each of the knives is also being made by Haruto personally to have Holy and Dragon Slaying properties to it. He made them all just in case a Dragon/Devil decided to fight against him.


Everyone's eyes widen at that, they are shocked at how casually Haruto defeated Vali… The Strongest White Dragon Emperor. Also, they could clearly see, Haruto was obviously lying about him not being good at close-quarters combat. The people who could see his movements between the three faction members gathered here can be counted in one hand. 


Haruto also used a creature's weakness against them. That is why in the end he decided to stay human. There is no human Slaying Element that would weaken them so much.
