Chapter 41



Title: Clown...

The next day as Haruto wakes up, he can sense Akeno behind his bedroom door preparing herself emotionally to do something erotic.


That type of bravery isn't easily gotten from a virgin girl like Akeno. So he casually gets up, is wearing only his short black pants, and opens the door. Surprising Akeno as she looks at Haruto, with a panicking look on her face.


"What are you doing here?" He asks, acting surprised to see Akeno there. 


She looks behind him and sees a naked Athena also getting up from her bed and that makes Akeno blush slightly. Especially since Athena causally looked at her.


Still, Akeno calms down easily, and her usual smile appears on her face. "Rias wants to meet you."


While hearing that, Haruto scratches the back of his head and yawns. "Well, she can come and meet me. No need to make you a messenger. It must be quite boring to wait behind my door for half an hour."


As Haruto says that Akeno looks at him surprised and he just smirks. 

"Y -You saw that!" Exclaimed Akeno in panic. Haruto's smirk widens and he pats her on the head.


"Don't worry I won't tell anyone."


"..." Akeno looks at him suspiciously. "Promise?"


"Promise." Says Haruto as he extends his hand in a pinky promise.  Akeno accepted and her face returned to her casual nice girl smile look.

"Also, tell Rias to come and meet me in my room. I have something to give her." 


"Is it some powerful item?" Asks Akeno curiously.



"Yep, I know about the soon to come Rating Games. Why, you jealous?" Coyly asks Haruto.


"No." Answers Akeno calmly.


"You sure?" He asks again.


"Yes." 


"Really sure?"



"YES!!" Yells out Akeno the answer, she didn't wanna admit it, but yes. Haruto is a well-known Item Maker.



"If you become my girlfriend, I will give you a powerful item. Even one who can strengthen your Holy Powers." Said Haruto, knowing just the right buttons to hit as he sees Akeno's body go rigid at that.


Her hair shadows her eyes. "...do you know?" 


"Yep, I know that you are a half-fallen angel. Thought that was obvious. Not everyone can hide that familiarity with that man." Answers Haruto as he summons some casual clothes, they appear as a circle runs through him from top to bottom. He sees that Akeno is now in a bad mood and decides to cheer her up. "Well, if you are wondering. I don't mind you being a fallen angel, you will still be Akeno to me."


Akeno has a genuine smile on her face for a split second. Haruto smirks at that. She blushes as she sees that. 


'Easy like always, cliche lines always work.' Says Haruto, internally patting himself in the back. 'Also knowing about her more than she knows herself is good.'


"You really have a way with words~" Says Akeno, the blush on her face not subsiding at all. 'I have to get my head straight… why can't I stop blushing?!'


"Sooo… feel like throwing yourself at me now?" Asks Haruto crudely. 


This makes Akeno shake her head. "Ara~ and here comes your true personali-"


Haruto interrupted her as he gave her a one-armed hug. "Don't worry, I like you. So even if the whole world is against you. I will deal with them all."


Akeno's genuine smile comes back on her face once more. She hugs him back too. 


"You really are an infelial lover." Rias's voice comes from the end of the hallway.


Haruto gropes Akeno as Rias says that. 


"Kya!" Yelps Akeno in surprise.


He isn't bothered by Rias' gaze, he does whatever he wants. Plus he would like to see just far Rias can go.

Athena just looks at this from inside his room. She can see him playing his usual mind games, but the two young girls don't notice anything. 'Skilled as always.'



In the end, she gets up, she has used her special God Ability, and combining it with Haruto's future knowledge. She has seen the most likely scenarios to play out. It will be hard for Haruto to keep hiding his strength from now on. 



After Haruto is done teasing Rias and Akeno, he gives both of them certain items. He knows what will happen, trying to stop it would be useless since the enemy would attack in another way that he wouldn't know about. So instead, he rather would set up traps for them.

At the same time, in an undisclosed location. There were many people gathered, all of them sitting at a circular table. 


Amongst them is a black haired girl, she looked more like a doll than a living creature. She was Ophis, and she is standing on the table.


Amongst the people on the table is Shalba Beelzebub, he glances at his fellow Old Satan Faction members.


"I think that the Harem King joining the three factions is dangerous." Says Shalba Beelzebub outright. 


"Oh, Haruto…" Says Ophis suddenly. 


Vali is also sitting at the table and looks at Ophis with a curious look. "You know him?"


"Yep. He asked for one of my snakes." Explains Ophis as she creates a candy out of thin air. "Though he still hasn't used it."


"I think going after the Harem King is a bad idea." Says Walburga is a woman in her early 20s with short hair adorned with numerous ribbons. She wears a purple Gothic lolita outfit. A strange smile on her face. 


"You are a magician right?" Questions Cao Cao. "Then you should know him right?"



"Yes." Answers Walburga, she can see the suspicion in everyone's eyes as she says that. 


"The Harem King is said to have his clutches deep in the Magic Society… you know, our suspicions would be within place if we suspected you for foul play." Says Rizevim Lucifer from the side, a smirk being very apparent on his face.



 "I don't even like being associated with him. That troublesome guy, he tried to steal my Sacred Gear." Explains Walburga with a mysterious smile on her face. "Also he is just an as*hole in general."



That is when suddenly a dark mist appears and out of it, a man wearing a shabby clown's costume comes out. He is also drinking a cigarette. 


"Joker, you are late." Reprimanded Cao Cao.


The man now identified as Joker looks at the Hero descendant. "Wait, who are you again?"


"Joker, you shouldn't be late." Says Ophis suddenly. This puts chills on everyone's spine. "Being late is bad."


Joker shrugs at that. "Sorry Ophis, it won't happen again."



As he says that another figure appears behind the clown. "You always say that Joker… yet you are always late to any meetings."

The clown seems happy when he hears the voice. "Yo, Crom Cruach, old friend. Where the hell have you been? Haven't seen you in ages."


Crom Cruach has the appearance of a tall handsome man wearing a black coat with a long mixture of black and blond hair as well as heterochromatic eyes where his right eye is gold and his left eye is black and he has pointed ears. "Joker, it has been my greatest pleasure that I haven't seen you in years."



"C'mon now~" Whines the Clown. "Don't be so cruel. Also, I am late because I am bad at magic, and I only know some coin tricks. I am not strong like most of you guys."


In the end, he starts crying and messes up his makeup. "WAAAHHHH~ YOU GUYS ARE SO NICE HAVING A WEAK GUY LIKE IN YOUR CREW!!"



He screams so loud that everyone here winces. The building also starts shaking. Even the usual emotionless Ophis looks at him in annoyance. 



BOOOM!!! 


So she doesn't hesitate and obliterate the Clown with a dark beam.


But immediately a skeleton starts reforming itself, then the muscles and the Clown appears again in his full body. "Ah! I almost died there!"


Crom Cruach grasps him by the top of his skull. "Joker shut the hell up."


"No~ I don't wanna die!" Whines the Clown again, seemingly outraged and fearful. 


Crom Cruach doesn't hesitate to clench his hand and obliterates the top of the Clown's head. 

Joker's now dead body falls on the ground. 

Rizevim narrows his eyes as he sees Joker regenerate once again and get up like it was nothing. 'That Clown, he is not as simple as he seems.'
