Chapter 43



Title: Petrifaction



….
"Make them?" Wonders Serafall, curious what Haruto means by that.


He just smirks. Creating Ultimate Class beings is a specialty of his. He has his version of Ophis' snakes. "Well you know, it is a company secret. You can try seducing it out of me."


Serafall likes that idea as she gets on the table and playful moves towards Haruto like a cat. 


He smirks at this and is about to go and do some things with Serafall. But he stops once again and looks at the sky, countless cracks appear in it. 


A man comes out of it, he is a tall man whose height surpasses even the average tall human. He has spiky long hair and a muscular body. He wears a right shoulder guard and archery chest protector. His left arm contains an armband that covers his biceps. He also wears a fur kilt, belt, and the standard ancient Greek Warrior sandals. He has a tattoo of unknown design that diagonally covers down to the right side of his torso and right arm to his lower left abdomen.



He has a serious look in his eyes as he looks straight at Haruto. The latter still has a smirk on his face as he whispers. "Cockblocking me to the fullest ain't you, Greek prick."


The man in the sky heard what Haruto whispered, even though, he still smiles. Not at all offended by Haruto.


"Long time no see, Haruto." Calls out the man, a smile on his face as he jumps down.


This causes Haruto to look to the side in annoyance as Serafall covers herself. 


"Heracles, I told you not to appear in front of me." Says Haruto casually. "Or I would rip off your head."


"Well, if you did that. You would have no friends in the Greek Gods faction." Refutes Heracles, a smile appears on his face as he says that. "They would attack you."


"Well, they are free to try. Let's see how long they can survive without Hades helping them." Haruto says almost casually as if talking about the weather. "I am not as weak as I used to be… If you try fu*king with me now..."  Haruto's smile turns malicious as a dark aura surrounds him. "I will fu*k Hera as Zeus watches."

Immediately Heracles becomes enraged at this. "Haruto… I would suggest you take those words back."

"Or what?" Haruto asks rhetorically. "Maybe I will take your wife too, what was her name again? Oh yeah, Hebe. I will fu*k her so hard, maybe together with Hera, just imagining mother and daughter tog-"

Pow!


Heracles's fist lands on Haruto's face with a thundering blow. Having the latter smash through multiple buildings. 

Heracles is angry, his rage burning inside of him. Haruto did just insult a lot of people dear to him. So he punched him with his full power, uncaring if the human can handle it.


Haruto gets up, just a bleeding nose is all that is left to show from Heracles's full-powered punch. 


"Ara~ did that offend you?" Haruto asks as the malicious aura around him morphs into a skull with red eyes behind him. Even Serafall is surprised at this, it feels like Haruto is completely different from the one she knows as he threatens Heracles with the r*pe of his mother and wife.


A green magic circle appears in front of his nose and heals it and then disappears. Leaving a fully healthy Haruto behind. 


"Heracles, I think that you should go home. I don't care whatever the Greek Gods have to say. If Zeus wants to fight, then he should just come out and do so, not slither around like a coward." Refutes Haruto, a smirk on his face as he hits Heracles on the soft spot. The man can't handle having his family insulted.


"You think I can go back after you said that straight to my face." Says Heracles as he slowly walks towards Haruto, the God's size being overwhelmingly bigger. His built more muscular too, compared to Haruto looks like your everyday teen.


"Well you are gonna have to either leave or die right now." 


Haracles doesn't say anything, instead, a golden armor surrounded his body.

Also, a golden spiky club appears in his hand. He charges at Haruto with a speed that can't be seen by the human eye.


He swings the club, hitting the human head-on, the spikes dig into Haruto's head and blood sews out off his head like a fountain as he smashes through another dozen buildings.


"For a man speaking such threats, you truly aren't that impressive. You said I would die if I stayed here? Then how do you plan to do that scum?" Heracles mocks Haruto, as the latter gets up and cracks his shoulders. His head is still dripping blood, but his hands are still in his pockets. 


"Who said I was gonna kill you?" Asks Haruto confused. He then points behind Heracles. "She will."


Heracles turns around, but his eyes widen as his eyes meet with Medusa's head on a shield. Instantly he is turned into stone. Not even as a divine being, he couldn't resist the strongest Petrification Curse.


Athena puts her shield away, she is wearing a business suit and glasses while carefully walking through the rubble towards Haruto. "You could have dodged."


"Too much effort." Complains Haruto. "It seemed easier to just take the hits. Also, I wanted him to vent before killing him off. He was your brother too, so mostly because of that. Also thanks for killing him, it would have taken too long for me to kill him by myself."


Athena doesn't say as she just looks at Heracles's petrified body. He truly was a kind brother to her, and that is saying a lot as a Greek God. He would never let any of the sisters be r*ped by any Olympians. Athena was too strong to suffer from something like that, but her sisters were not.


In the end, though she easily lets go of these thoughts as she goes and makes sure Haruto's injuries aren't severe. While looking at them she says. "No need to feel sorry for me Haru. I already made my choice to abandon the Greek Gods. It would have been better for you to not get hit, that way I wouldn't have had to worry."

Serafall looks at all of this from the side, seeing Athena's love for Haruto, makes her own seem insignificant. 'Would I resolve to kill all the Devils for Haruto? Would I sacrifice my family for him? Would I kill my friends for him?'


She wonders about all of these, and the usually cheerful and carefree Serafall is in a dilemma. She… is unsure about this. She would like to choose, but she can't bring herself to sacrifice someone like Sona for Haruto. 


So in the end she just teleports away, leaving Haruto and Athena alone. The former looks at the Goddess of Wisdom and snickers. 


"Well ain't you just devilish." Says Haruto. "Manipulating the situation like this, hehehe… you are showing your devious side, Athena."


Athena's lips twitch for a split second, almost forming a smile. 'Yep, as expected of Haruto. He saw right through me. He is something else, if he became a God, his domain would be along the lines of Wisdom, Evolution, Dream, or Knowledge. Maybe Trickery too?'



….
Traveling to the Underworld on a train, Gasper and Kiba notice Koneko acting weird. The little girl smells the air and frowns, she feels the presence of something strange. But she can't tell what it is.



...
The train then reaches Sitri territory with Sona, Tsubaki, and Saji coming to greet the Occult Research Club, thanking Rias for allowing them to use the Gremory Train to go back to the Underworld. After sending Sona and her servants off at the Sitri Territory, the train continues its journey to the Gremory territory.


…
Upon reaching the Gremory territory, the train suddenly stops, Rias then comes in and reveals that there will be a meeting with the Norse on countering the Khaos Brigade. 




The passengers, however, are suddenly teleported into another location without Rias and Azazel. The teleported members are then attacked by a Dragon who appeared in front of them. 


...This was Tannin, he looks at Issei and can't help but feel a little disappointed by the boy's power. 




"Everyone! Attack, this is no time to be confused!" Deeming the Dragon as their enemy, Akeno takes command over the team and gives out the order to combat the Dragon.


But the dragon only sighs, flames coming out of his nose. The flames burn the field in front of him, thankfully, Gasper can help everyone by freezing the flames in time as they run away.

"Balor?" Wonders Tannin, suddenly feeling the presence of an Evil God inside the Sacred Gear. "Ah, I see, so that is why it is classified as a Lognious Level."



In the end, Tannin just takes a deep breath and shots it at the team. This time putting a bit of power behind it, but the team can stop it by Issei suddenly having a vision. 

Though he never admits it, he is enraged that Haruto gets so many girls around him. He is extremely jealous of Haruto, and even though Issei doesn't like to think about it… Haruto definitely has done the deed with Rias. 

That thought brings Issei an unknown feeling in his heart like he has lost something precious. He always dreamed as Rias would be with him… but things didn't work out. These feelings of jealousy manifest by the Boosted Sacred Gear.


As he sees the flames coming towards him, he remembers how Haruto is better than him in everything. Even in fighting, Haruto doesn't even have a Lognious.

"I don't want to be a failure anymore!" Issei announces his resolve out loud. 


"<BOOSTED GEAR: BALANCE BREAK!!>"



Immediately red armor surrounds his body, with green gems in it.

…
...
But it was for naught, as despite their best effort, they are still easily overpowered by Tannin.

Issei was simply too new at using his Balance Breaker, he couldn't contend with Tannin at all.


That is when Rias and Azazel appear on a hill. Looking down at the others.


"Little miss, shouldn't you also join your cute servants?" Azazel in a joking manner. 


Rias doesn't say anything at that, instead of thinking about the item that Haruto has given her. He knew that Rias is lazy, like a student who only studies just the evening before the exam starts. So he gave her an item about that, the item will help her with her shortcomings.


But Rias doesn't show the item that Haruto has given her. Instead, she just shrugs. "I will train with them later, I just wanted to see how they fight without me."



"Hmmm… is that so." Azazel doesn't say anything anymore. 'She is not just spoiled, but lazy too.'



…
Azazel and Rias then intervene before the battle drags on, revealing that the Dragon, Tannin, is a Devil and was asked by Sirzechs and Azazel to assist in the training of the Gremory Team. 



"He wasn't even going all out." Ddraig further reveals that he knows the Dragon and when asked by Issei why he said nothing, Ddraig replies that he realizes it was a farce from the start and Tannin wasn't even being serious.
