Chapter 65



Title: Heaven's Master...

I casually walk out of the Trick tower and there is a small private airship waiting there for me. I jump on and Karla also comes out of the trick tower from one of the doors. 


“Did you get what you wanted? Did it work? Did you absorb the power?” Asks Karla excitedly, she happier when I get stronger than when she does. 


“Yep, I did. As expected, after fulfilling his deepest desire I could absorb him… whatever his name was.” I explain to her, Karla is trustworthy, and even though she wouldn’t mind if I didn’t tell her anything. The 2nd look into things could be beneficial in a way. After all, she might think up of something that I haven’t. 


 “Yes!! So what if we use my ability then in contingent, do you think it would work?” Asks Karla curious. I stop and think about that as we fly away.


Karla’s Manipulation is a coercive one, it changes people to want to serve her. So if they serve her, wouldn’t that make whatever Karla orders them to do their deepest desire? Hmmm… that might work… 


“Call over a receptionist or someone unimportant to the running of this airship that you have under control.”

We try it out a couple of times, but it sadly doesn't work and I only absorb nutrients from them. This doesn't raise my power at all, the par which interferes was that to put them under my virus, but since it classifies as a Nen ability and Manipulation, the people under Karla’s control are not even affected. Even with forceful injection it just kills them and transforms them, which is useless.


Ugh, I wish things could sometimes just go right for me. But I guess if there were shortcuts for power for humans then people would have already taken them. *sigh* Nothing has ever been easy in life, but I guess that transfers to this world too. 

I look at Karla who looks at me worried that I might be sad at the results. But I just smile and pat her in the head. “Well, I didn’t have high hopes anyway so it doesn't matter.”


Sad, but true, I have always hoped for the best while preparing for the worst. Even in my first life.

-General POV-



Months pass by as the Hunter Exam passes, Gon goes to Zoldyck's mountain to save him. Then He and Killua go towards Heaven's Arena, while Leorio and Kurapika go to do their things in life. One as a doctor to help those in need and the other to get closer to his revenge.



Gon and Killua arrive at Heaven's Arena and register. As they fight, they both easily finish their fights in one hit and even meet another kid their age called Zushi.


"I must introduce you to my teacher. He is nice and might even teach you," excitedly says Zushi.


"Yeah…" responds Killua politely. 'No way I am wasting my time in some no-name martial arts teacher. Zushi is strong for his age, but he doesn't seem that impressive.'



"Oh, that would be so cool!" Exclaims Gon, he is more excited and genuine at this.


Killua looks at his friend with an unimpressed look on his face. 'Gon is way too easily pulled into schemes. What if this is one of those fake martial artists?'


"Oh, there is my teacher," points Zushi towards an unassuming man with half his shirt tucked in. 

Killua is about to whisper something to Gon about Wing looking weak, but he sees someone that he is familiar with.


There is Sub, with his hands in his pockets just standing next to Wing casually. He is wearing his usual black tank top and black short pants up to his knees.




"Yeah, you can join if you want Wing, don't forget my offer," says Sub, a casual smile on his face.


*sigh* "I will think about it," answers Wing scratching his head as he seems to think about something.


"Teacher!" Zushi calls out to him, and Wing looks at his student and smiles. 

"Oh, hey Zushi, how did your latest fight go?" Asks Wing, a smile on his face. He then turns to Sub and points at Zushi. "That is the student I was telling you about."


That is when Killua noticed that people around were looking at Sub with admiring looks in their eyes. At the same time, he also notices that no one is approaching him and Wing due to the man dressed in suits were hidden at critical locating, keeping an eye on the situation.


'He seems to be quite well known,' wonders Killua. 'Is he someone famous? Maybe a fighter from Heaven's Arena?'




Sub on the other hand doesn't look at Killua at all. But he already has noticed the kid's presence, together with Gon's. 


"Hmmm… Wing, your student isn't bad," compliments Sub. Wing only shrugs.


"Anyway, see ya later," waves Sub as he walks away casually, wearing slippers like he was in his own house.

'Who is he?' Wonders Killua, looking at Wing and wondering if he should ask the question.

"Who is he?" Asks Gon nonchalantly as he approaches Wing. Killua looks at this awkwardly. 'Sometimes having a friend like Gon is convenient. He asks all the questions that I have and does so casually.'



"Him?" Clarifies Wing while pointing at Sub walking away. "I guess you can call him the strongest in this tower."


"Really? Wow, that is cool!" Gon is amazed by this.

Killua on the other hand is not surprised, someone like Sub felt too strong to be just another normal guy.


"Yep, he is pretty cool," admits Wing. "He is called the King of the Tower, or Heaven's King. He has defeated everyone noteworthy from floor 200 and up. Every floor master has fallen to his fist at least once."


"So he is strong then?" Asks Gon.


"More than you can imagine," smirks Wing, as if he knows something that they don't. "Anyway, we are not here to talk about him, are we? So I am glad that Zushi made some friends his age."

At the same time Sub gets in an elevator, the lady in there bows towards him slightly. She doesn't say anything, because she knows that he doesn't like people that talk a lot in elevators. He doesn't wanna bother with small talk.



Fwosh!


The elevator lady is freaked out as a shadow lands next to Sub. It is Kalra fully covered in bandages like she is most of the time nowadays. It helps her train her Nen, and it asks as a certain new condition to her abilities, making them stronger.


"So~ did he agree?" She asks casually as if she didn't just jump down from a high floor, straight to the elevator, and used the hatched to enter here.


"He is thinking about it," answers Sub. "Sloth and Lust aren't really with us and Envy has plans to now enter Greed Island."


"Envy? That old hag?" Karla scrunches her nose at Envy's mention. She and Sub are talking about their crew the Seven Sins.



"Yes, also Sloth seems to want to start the ceremony faster," he adds on.


"Tch, I hate that creep," complains Karla once more.



"Also Lust is like usual, acting her usual self and she just found a new man to have a crush on."


"That slut, I hate her even more." 


Sub has a bored look on his face, he knows that a rant from Karla is coming and he has no way to dodge this.



"Also Pride is here now," says Sub, a smile on his face.

"The weirdo? Tch, he is annoying, but at least not as the creep, slut, and old hag." 


"C'mon now Karla, they are all part of our crew. Don't be so harsh on them," he tries to dissuade her from hating so much on the rest of the members of the Seven Sins.


She pouts at that. "They are all trash, you can easily beat them all together."


"There are not a lot of people I can't beat." Sub ads on. 


"Yeah, I guess you are right," reluctantly Karla admits that.


The elevator lady is sweating in nervousness, she tries to make herself as invisible as possible. She feels like she just hears some very confidential information. 'Will they kill me for this?!! Oh gosh, is this how I die?!!'


"Oy, quit shaking." Complains Karla as she sees the elevator lady do that. She already can guess what she is thinking. "Don't worry, we won't kill you."

A/N: The Deadly Sins are the MC's crew, Karla doesn't like them. But the MC has them because while they are all weaker than him, they are all pkweeful in their own right and some have Soecial abilities. I gave hints to who they are, some are Original Characters, but some are also from Canon too.😉
