Chapter 77



Title: Chrollo vs...

Looking at the men and Karla who controls them, Chrollo starts contemplating retreat. He knows that with Karla here, there is no chance of him getting Neon any longer. 'From what Machi has said, the girl might activate Nen after death, she is just too dangerous.'


So in the end Chrollo jumps back, deciding to escape. While having his indoor fish attack the others to buy him some time.


Fwish!


*burst*


But suddenly, a sword pierced him from his midsection.


<Invisible Sword> 


One of the men in dark suits smirks at this. Chrollo winces and sees that the sword has become visible. 

He goes to grasp it but the blade disappears. He clutches his wound with one hand while the other still holds into his book. 'Do I cancel <Indoor Fish> and use something else to heal myself? But that would be too dangerous as that would give them to charge me. She has me in checkmate.'


Karla smirks at this, though she might not be the strongest in a straight fight with an unsuitable environment. This doesn't make her less powerful, she isn't as strong as Uvogin in raw power? Then the solution is simple, she just takes him over. That is the danger that Karla poses. 


Chrollo, though he seems calm, gets chills down his spine once he sees her smirk at him like a predator who has spotted their prey. "Okay now mister Chrollo, I always wanted to have someone under me with the ability to copy Hatsu Abilities."


"You are a feisty one. I wonder how Sub can deal with you?" Wonders Chrollo, curious how Sub is able to control someone like her. He senses that no one in the Phantom Troupe seems to have the same amount of insanity 
that Karla is hiding.

All the people under her control attack, forcing Chrollo to change page, dismissing the <Indoor Fish> and next a giant curtain appears.

"Heh," Karla smirks maliciously. "Trash like you would never understand the love between me and Sub!"


The Nen that comes out of her is the most malicious Chrollo had sensed in his life. And that is saying a lot, as Karla releases the insanity inside of her. Her Nen is as dark as the night sky, suddenly countless red eyes appear in her Nen.


"Ah, so you have already developed a Specialist-like ability." Concludes Chrollo as something bizarre happens in front of him.




….
Suddenly on the outside of the building, everything is quiet.


BOOOOOM!!


Until it isn't as a giant explosion rings out in the building. A heavily injured Chrollo jumps off it and starts falling down from the 70th floor.


"Is this a terrorist attack?!!" Wonder some of the civilians looking at this from the ground.


Suddenly, a huge amount of bandages come out of the wreckage. It seems like a giant white worm charging at Chrollo.



"Tch, she is persistent." Complains Chrollo with a calm look on his face. 'I wonder if I will die today.'




He looks around and sees countless men in suits jump off after him, all of them having some floating abilities. On the ground, there were also some men in suits gathered and all releasing their Nen.


'Yeah, this is developing out of control.' Chrollo never felt quite confident in his survival. Though he still has a couple of trump cards, some that he had planned to use in case he fought against Sub, but he now will have to use them against Karla.



Slowly his book opens at another page and giant hawk-like wings appear on his back. 


Fwosh!


Immediately he starts flying away. Many people chase after him, but in that instant, he changes the Ability that he is using, and a mist surrounds him and a couple of hundred meters around him. Instantly he changes back to the <Hawk Wings> and flies in a different direction. The effect of the mist creating Hatsu Ability stays even when he changes pages.



Just like this he almost breathes a sigh of relief since he escaped Karla and her many Nen Users. But that was harder than it seemed, and he also feels like he is about to pass out due to blood loss. 



….
Back to Sub, he is just chilling by side as he sees Killua and Gon are captured.

"Do they know anything about the chain user?" Nobunaga asks Pakunoda who shakes her head.


Gon notices Sub and exclaims. "Oh, Sensei!"


Everyone stops in their tracks and looks at Sub with shock at this. The muscular man just looks back at Gon while drinking orange juice.


*SLURP*


Making annoying slurping noises while looking at Gon and Killua intently.



"Do you know them?" Asks Feitan.


"Hmmmm…" Sub looks at them intently. "Nope, I have no idea."


Machi clenches her hand at this. Because while the others don't let their annoyance develop due to their fear of Sub, she doesn't fear him. Knowing that he wouldn't hurt her.



But still, she doesn't say anything vocal about this. Though Sub gives her a side glance and sees her clenched hand with veins all around it due to the power exerted on it.

-Killua POV-



Seeing Sensei act like this, and the reactions of the others. I can tell that unlike Hisoka, his relation with us wouldn't be anything that would badly affect him.

But he just doesn't want to help us. Is this his way of testing us? 

I look at Gon and he asks. "Wait? You aren't Sub -sensei?"


"Nope, they call me Greed." Says Sensei, using his hand to cover the smirk that appears on his face.


It's so obvious he knows us! He isn't even bothering to hide it!


"Oh, okay, sorry, it seems like we mistook you for someone else." Apologizes Gon, just like the usual knucklehead that he is.


*SLURP*


Again Sensei slurps annoyingly, and I see that everyone here is annoyed by it. But they still don't say anything and just clench their teeth.


So that means that even in comparison to them, Sensei is strong. Does he have some kind of relationship with the Phantom Troupe? Definitely. Is he a member? Unlikely, he doesn't seem like the type of guy to follow someone around. 



Will he let us die or save us if the situation arises? I look at his face for a second and see him wiggling his eyebrows at the pink-haired girl.

Fuck, he's a wildcard. He could save us, but with an equal chance, he wouldn't. Sensei is a weird man that is unpredictable, so I shouldn't worry about something that I can't control or predict. I should plan-


*SLURP*


Okay, has he always been this annoying? 


"Shizuku -chan~ how nicely you have developed~" Sensei slides over to the glasses girl and puts an arm around her shoulders.


Shizuku looks at Sensei. "Oh, you are that sexual harassment man."


"...." Sensei is shocked at this. "Uhhh… I am sure that isn't the only thing that you remember about me right?"



"I also know that you are strong." Answers the ditzy girl.

*sigh* "I knew it, Machi is the perfect girl. I don't know why I even came here to talk to you." Complains Sensei.


"Because you are a two-timing asshole that likes to play with people's hearts?" Suggests Shizuku, making Sensei look around uncomfortably at that.


"When did she grow to be such an annoying girl." He complains as he goes back to Machi and puts an arm around her.

I see that the pink-haired girl doesn't seem to mind the contact, nor how Sensei went to talk to the other girl. 

Wait!! I got sidetracked by the drama going on in there, I should be thinking about a way to escape this!

While Killua was also distracted by the show that was going on. He thinks of ways that he can get out of this situation. Nobunaga looks at the situation happening between Machi and Sub uncomfortably. He doesn't like the way Machi talks to him… because now he is unsure where her loyalty lies. 



Nobunaga still turns around at Gon and says. "So you beat Shizuku in an arm match?"


"Huh? Did I say that?" Gon seems confused.


But Nobunaga just points at Sub. "He just kept constantly mocking us at how a Phantom Troupe member got defeated by a kid."


Gon looks at him with a pitying look. "I understand, Sensei can always become overbearing like that sometimes. He is the kind of guy who would set fire to the apartment room just because he lost a card game… he did that."



Everyone from the Phantom Troupe knows that this is such a weird thing to do, but it does sound like something straight up Sub's alley. 'He would probably do something like that. Sub is extremely petty.'



Sub's saying on power is that -With Great Power, comes great abuse of it.

He worked hard to get this power, he isn't going to be responsible with it. He will just do whatever he wants, while at the same time chasing after even more power.



Booom!!



That is when Chrollo crashes through the roof and lands on the ground roughly, with wounds all around him.


"BOSS!!" Yell out the Phantom Troupe members.

A/N: As we see, Karla's ability isn't the raw powe type, fighting her is like fighting an army of Nen Users with different complex abilities.
