Title: Animagus...
….
-General POV-
Gilderoy's body started shifting in a split second, his bones cracked, skin turned golden and his eyes turned completely black. His animagus form is the… golden poison frog, a frog especially known for its poison that would kill the average human within ten minutes.
A truly fitting animagus for Lockhart. Frogs symbolize alertness and readiness, as they always respond to nature's timing. Just like him ready to take advantage of the moment.
The visible changes over the course of their life (from tadpole to frog) make them symbolic of change, adaptability, and… rebirth… In a way it was a perfect representation of him… a person reborn from another world… and his species of frog is the golden poison frog. Very pretty to look at but it is also one of the most poisonous creatures on the planet.
With all of the invisibility and stealth spells cast on him and his current small size Gilderoy was quite undetectable. Then he jumped like a frog towards the Ravenclaw door to the outside. Usually it would be impossible to enter without answering a riddle but that isn't necessary when going outside.

-Gilderoy POV-
When I arrived at the door I looked at it and found the holes to the side of the wall. It wasn't anything big or noticeable but just enough for me to squeeze in there. As I went in there I was finally able to go outside, in the hallway. Then I went downstairs and finally with my stealth charms still active I arrived at the 7th Floor. Once I was there I went towards the Room of Requirement and walked in front of the painting of trolls dancing and thought.
'I need a room with a copy of the books from the Hogwarts Library.'
Finally a door appeared in there and I stealthily entered.
When I was inside I saw a complete copy of the library…
The first thing I did was go to the restricted section and open a book…. I couldn't keep my feelings of extreme disappointment show even with my Occlumency…
Damn… the book was blank… there was nothing written on it… this was my only plan to get inside the restricted section. I expected there to be protections in the restricted section about things like this but… damn… that is going to need to be a lot of work for me. I need to get close to a professor to give me a slip for the restricted section until I learn enough about wards and spells to be able to pass the security in the restricted section.
DAMN IT…
Anyway the other books from the non restricted section should be ok… but I better go out, think about the types of spells I want to learn and come in again for the books. Damn… this is going to take so much work.
But still, the room is very useful for other things.

-Next Day-
-General POV-
In the Potion Classroom in the dungeons it was double Potion Lessons. There were no students around, just Slughorn sitting on his chair. Reading a potions book. The book was very thick and had a lot of improvisations on it, it also looked quite old with gray pages. It is Slughorn's own personal potions book that he has had since his own time at Hogwarts. It has all of his little notes and tips on how to make potions better and more effective.
Then students started coming in, he looked towards them and saw that as expected it was fifteen minutes early and the Ravenclaws were already here. Today it was a class with Ravenclaws only.
As they all entered Slughorn saw his favourite first year enter the classroom, Lockhart had his usual smile on his face showing his perfect white teeth and was talking to some Ravenclaw girls. It seemed that he told something funny and they all laughed. Then when Lockhart saw Slughorn he excused himself from the girls and went towards him.
Slughorn just thinks to himself. 'Gilderoy truly is a popular boy… it definitely reminds me of someone. But this time I won't make the same mistake. If he asks anything about the dark arts I am reporting him to Dumbledore… he will keep an eye on him and not have him turn into another Tom… or as he has started being called now… Dark Lord Voldemort.'
Then Lockhart goes towards Slughorn and arrives at his table. Then Lockhart said. "Excuse me professor I have a question. Do you have time to answer right now or after class."
Slughorn just smiles at Gilderoy not showing that he was really hoping it didn't have something to do with dark arts… that would just ruin his mood today. Slughorn still just answered with a smile. "Of course Gil you can ask me whatever you want to know… after all it is my job as a teacher."
Lockhart just politely smiled at his attempted joke.
Then he just opened up his potions book and went to the page for today's potion that they will learn how to brew. The forgetfulness potion, it allows the drinker to forget a certain period of time. Gilderoy then said. " Professor at part two of the brewing process it says add 4 mistletoe berries to the mortar and cut it into a medium-fine powder using the pestle. The cut part, how about if we change it to crush would it affect the potion in any way."
Slughorn thinks for a while and says. "Well it depends really. I guess while the others are brewing their forgetfulness potion you could try your own way. After all, mistletoe berries aren't very dangerous or prone to accidents as an ingredient. Plus you have me here so there is no danger at all."
Gilderoy just nods and goes towards his own desk and then he start the brewing process following the book's instructions with only one change to it.
….
After they all finished brewing the Slughorn came by to check each of the potions that they brewed. Gilderoy hid his smile while thinking. 'I know that this will work. Hogwarts has been a school of magic for hundreds of years. Obviously I wanted the potion books of the greatest potion geniuses that Europe had seen… and the Room Of Requirement provided… all the years 1-7 all of the famous potions, dark arts, charms and all that... true geniuses left these behind like trash and they became my treasure.'
When Slughorn comes to check Gilderoy's potion he… just smiled and said. "30 points to Ravenclaw for figuring out a whole new posible and slightly easier way to brew the forgetfulness potion that has been invented a millennia ago and there haven't been a lot of changes to the recipe since then.
Then Slughorn smiled as he said. "I am glad that I was correct about you Gil… you truly are one of the brightest students I have ever had."
…
After class as Gilderoy was walking out Slughorn just said to him. "Also Gil, the first meeting of the year for the Slug Club will be tomorrow at seven in the evening."
Gilderoy just nods and says. "Thank you professor. Have a good day."
Then with his house mates he went outside while telling some jokes to them.
While Slughorn was alone in the classroom he just contemplated. 'He truly is more talented than Tom.'
