IN GOTHAM WITH MOB BOSS SYSTEM

Chapter 2



Title: I have a Gang System... so what?

The one that I picked is... the [Basics To Magic] book. After all I already have a good way to escape and run away.


 Now I need another power that will help me cover the weakness of that. And magic should be generally very versatile so it can be used for a lot of stuff, plus I don't know but I might be able to cast a lot of spells of I can use magic while using the speed force. Damn... if only I knew the formulas for the Sage Force and Strength Force... I could get 




After finally clicking on the magic book... in a flash a magic book basics appears in front of me. 


Immediately as I pick up the book. I start reading it and activate the Speed Force all around me... I look at the world around me... the world stopped moving... THIS IS AMAZING... 


After around three minutes. The world is still frozen and it hasn't moved even an inch. I see a fly that still hasn't flapped his wings yet.... 


I stop for a moment and the world goes back to normal... then I check the stats and see that I now have another stat in my status table. Its [Basic Magic: 0/10]


I see... if that works then.... I immediately entered the Speed Force and the world again came to a halt. Damn... if I didn't know what types of beings existed in this world I would start getting a big head and thinking myself invincible. Also even the system's notifications can't keep up with its speed.

I don't know how much time has passed. But I do know that the world around me hasn't moved even a millimetre. 



Also in my status page Basic Magic has reached level 10/10. This was mostly theory in magic since I haven't used even a spell once. Well the book was mostly theory with only a couple of spells to it.


I immediately stop the speed force and as soon as I do so a new notification appears in front of me.

What a useless system... it won't even give me any more books or rewards as I finished this... honestly though I am just waiting for it to give me a quest that will have the failure penalty of it being deleted. 



Anyway I just swipe the notification away. The guards seem to be standing still, most likely to them it might only seem like not even a second has passed when in reality to me, I had time to read a whole book and ever rehearse it. Truly speed force is an amazing ability. I am really glad I remembered the formula or else I would have been screwed. Anyway the system seems to encourage me to gain EXP so I can level up my stats... which I won't do... after all to get EXP with this system I have to do criminal activities. Only a mad man would do criminal activities in batman's city.


I just put on my hoodie to hide my face and ordered my mooks. "Don't follow me."

I just took a pistol with me, I have never shot a gun in either of my lives. Though I did shoot with a rifle once in my past life,  but, even that was so long ago I don't even remember. 

Still I put the small firearm in my large pocket and went outside.

Then I stealthily went outside of the building all together. After all it is known around that this abandoned appartament building is owned by the Falcone Family and I don't want to be associated with any of that. From what my mooks said, the whole city is controlled by Carmine Falcone, who bribes the mayor. There haven't been anything like batman sightings around, so he either isn't here yet or he isn't quite known. 


Also it is snowing and cold outside so who knows... maybe,  he just is not into the bad weather... yeah right as if that would even stop him.


My name is James Viti and I am the nephew of the guy who controls the city. Nice right... no it's not, not when batman around the corner. Honestly I already consider this family a burden. I also have no memories from this body so that sucks, I don't even know the passwords to my own bank accounts.

Since it was still early in the morning  there wasn't a lot of activity around so I just walked around the city. And really as long as you don't go into the dark alleys or sketchy places, the chances of getting attacked are slim to none. That bad stuff with desperate criminals attacking in daylight is when the Batman starts coming around.


Currently it is 1st January 1988, it is quite cold outside and even a little snow. 


Gotham is a truly beautiful city, even as I am currently walking on the outskirts of it. If it wasn't for the high criminal rate, it would really be nice to live here.



Then as I keep walking around the city, I see someone in an alley. It seems like a man had fallen over on the snow...


'Well not my problem.' 


I just decided to walk and mind my own business. Gotham is  not a place where you want to put your nose in other's business.

But as I was about to walk away... a notification appeared in front of me.
