The Game of a Blood Mage

Chapter 84

Title: Monster from Another World...

The giant eye in the sky looked down on them all. Alex clenched his teeth, his body shook involuntarily for a split second.

Immediately he felt something strange, his eyes widened in shock and noticed that he couldn't move his hand anymore. He looked down and saw that it started turning into stone, without hesitation he was ready to cut off his arm with a wind blade.

But he couldn't react fast enough and his body was instantly turned into a stone statue.

[A being of a higher dimension has looked at you and you have been affected by its passive ability ■■■■■■]

[-10,000 HP]

[Your HP has reached 0]

[You are DEAD]

The interface notifications came a split second later than the attack. There was no defense against a skill like this, because as soon as Alex had looked into the creature's eyes and it looked back. The attack of the Passive Skill had gone into effect. Even if he had been able to cut off his hand, it would be too late by then.

It wasn't even an attack, just a normal passive skill that had killed him. There were creatures like this in the world, and that was why Alex never felt confident in his strength. It was all because monsters like this could just appear and kill you without even needing to attack.

A blue energy translucent flame came out of his mouth and Camilla felt out of the ground below them a coffin came out and shot towards the blue flame

Suddenly the coffin opened and another smirking Alex wearing the same clothes and same body appeared. "Tada! This is my magic trick."

"This isn't the time for jokes," Camilla criticized him. "Also that magic trick sucked and your real body just died. Plus, that 'resurrection' was bound to cost a lot of Mana."

"Well, aren't you just the life of the party?" Alex said sarcastically. "But, yeah, this situation kinda sucks. Half of my Mana was gone with that. Another one of those and I will be dried up."

"Go and tell that lie to someone else," Camilla sighed as her arms flickered and burst into a shower of blood. Immediately out of the stumps on her shoulders came four more arms on each side. She looked at Alex and saw him preparing a Teleportation Spell, but she noticed that it was different from the standard spell. "We can all see what you are doing here."

He stopped the spell and sighed. "Yeah, yeah, I know. It ain't like there is a way outside of this. That eye is looking at the whole planet like it's a bug. Heh, I guess a fight to the death is the only option."

Camilla looked at him with a look that said 'Do you think I am stupid?' She just saw him prepare something. Also, Alex wasn't the kind of guy who would give up escaping and care for things like dying bravely. He was a logical guy, why would someone care what people think of them once they are dead? He would rather take his chances escaping than fighting something impossible to beat at his current strength.

People like him didn't care how they died, and that made them usually tricky to deal with. But against absolute power, there wasn't a lot he could do as even running away was an impossible scenario.

But Alex wasn't like most people here, because he knew that within this planet there were people who could at least push away the owner of the huge eye in the sky. He also had just inscribed a formula in his soul that would teleport him in space if this body died. After all, he was ready to abandon everyone and everything as long as he didn't die now.

Normally Teleportation to space was something reckless, but Alex remembered the coordinates of players messing around with Teleportation Spells. Those kinds of people didn't care about risking their lives and just wanted to have some fun.

Of course, that countermeasure was just in case of a last try scenario. Even Alex didn't want to give up on all the effort he had spent until now in this world.

"Damn~ this place sucks." Said the Heavenly Demon, cursing himself for being so unlucky. "I can't believe I am about to die next to a Vampire and other Mage scum that I don't like at all."

"Ara~ you finally showing your true colors?" Camilla didn't miss this moment to shoot at the man. But she also saw that except her, Alex and the Heavenly Demon, the others bodies were frozen in fear. Instinctively they were unable to move.

"What is that thing after?" Asked Alex while looking at the Dark Mage. The man could see the future in some limited ways, so this should be something that he can read through.

"I -I… can't see…" the Dark Mage muttered in fear. When he had looked at the Beast Emperor, his gaze had been interrupted. But now, he couldn't see the future at all, only darkness covered his vision when he tried. This had never happened before, an inescapable 'Bad End'.

Alex shrugged but didn't lose hope, because he knew that future sight wasn't an absolute thing. While the Dark Mage's ability to see the future was one of the best since he knew what he was looking for. It didn't mean that it was all-mighty because, against those stronger than Legendary Rank, it wouldn't work at all.

Camilla finally decided to be the first one to take action. She had multiple blood arms now, numbering in the hundreds and they extended from her shoulders like long red ropes. Each of them formed a dark magic circle and the Mana coming from each of them was crazily high. Even Alex didn't have 1/5th of the Mana infused in them.

"Well, I can't let her go alone," Alex also decided to intervene. He flew towards the eye in the crack too and was only a step behind Camilla. His body started morphing, horns came from his forehead and slowly swirled into the horns of a goat, his skin turned dark and seemed to release a dark miasma. Fingers, hands, feet, and body slowly elongated into a monstrous form of a dark humanoid monster with the head of something that resembled a grotesque goat.

[You have entered your true form: Night Crawler.]

[Your Physical Stats have increased exponentially!]

[Strength 10 –> 22]

[Agility 10 –> 19]

[Construction –> 24]

Alex's physical stats entered Legendary Rank, and that made his instincts, speed, and power increase exponentially. His hands moved about as a giant golden gray magical circle appeared in front of him.

<Legendary Spell: Soul Shock>

He made sure to not look at the creature's eyes as he shot the attack and an invisible beam hit the eye head-on.

Subtle, like a snake, the invisible attack hit, normally Alex would never use this spell at full power as it was considered an instant-kill attack.

But once it hit the giant eye, the creature only blinked once. There was no scream of pain, nor any visible injury outwardly.

"Damn, the level difference is huge," Alex complained, he then looked at Camilla. His eyes were now just two shining lights. "It's your turn now."

She nodded and thousands of dark magic circles fused to create a giant one. "This is my strongest attack. If this doesn't work, will you take me with you to escape?"

"Hell no! So better make sure that it works!" Alex answered without even missing a beat. While his <Soul Shock> hadn't done any damage, he knew it wouldn't work, so instead he had lowered the creature's defense.

{Death Spell: The Goal of Life is Death}

Unlike Alex's spell, Camilla's was flashy and it shot a dark ray that covered the whole Human Continent and made it turn dark. As if the sun had just disappeared from the world.

Unlike Alex's spell, Camilla's had a major effect and the eye turned gray and decayed, dropping off the socket and falling directly toward them.

Camilla winced, having used over 90% of her Mana in that single spell. Alex on the other hand smirked and made a dimensional pocket. Like a dark cloak, it swallowed the creature's dead eye and disappeared.

"You bìtch, better give half of that to me." She complained and suddenly was hit with a feeling of nausea.

Alex recognized this as another strong Passive Skills of the creature. The crack in the sky opened wider revealing the head of a giant snake that was missing an eye.

*HISSSSS*

The snake hissed, immediately Alex's eardrums and everyone else in the vicinity burst like balloons. Blood flew out of their ears, but Alex and Camilla had already regenerated their eardrums a second later.

The Heavenly Demon made a sword out of dark red Ki and smirked. "Can't have you two get all the glory now."

He saw that the snake was angry, so he knew that the best course of action was to stop the attacks before they hit.

BOOOM!!

For an instant, the Heavenly Demon sensed the monster's power, and in that instant, his body reacted. The effect was instantaneous as blood burned out of his body, eyes, nose, ears and pores. A heavy amount of blood kept coming out.

The body was held together by the strong muscles but the blood vessels had burst.

"Damn… the monster isn't even attacking us." Said the Heavenly Demon as his body wobbled and he started falling down. Not able to even handle the Aura of the Serpent.

"No, it's not that it isn't attacking." Alex clarified, looking at the snake. "The serpent can't directly attack us."

He got a good look at the monster and finally understood what was going on and why such creatures were appearing recently.

Then, a sudden golden light engulfed the world, as if there was a second sun manifesting right in front of them. Alex's eyes widened as the figure of an old man that seemed to have a foot in the grave appeared. He also was wearing a Mom's outfit and had a gentle smile on his face.

The Unbreakable Body Monk, frozen in fear like most others, looked at the person who appeared. And yelled out. "Grandmaster!!"

Alex smirked at the irony of the situation. This monk, he was the one who had ruined his game experience back then, having destroyed his army who had a dozen Legendary Ranks and stopped him from ever even getting a glimpse of the Monk Techniques.

"And now I am being saved by the old man."

A/N: Night Crawler is a type of undead, like a Vampire, except their physical stats and connections with darkness, are stronger. Though they do have a monster form, which is their true form, and unlike Alex, they would normally be unable to have a human form.

P.S: Camilla's current Class is Death Mage.
