Title: A Legendary Warrior From Another World...
—————
After that ordeal, months passed and Alex's base of power grew even stronger, and he became something of a goal for many people. If they reached the Soul Sect, then they would be safe.
The same thoughts went amongst the people in a steep mountain village. The civilians were of all ages, and they looked like a group of young men fought against some monstrous life-like creatures.
Amongst the men, one stood out the most, he had long blue hair tied in a ponytail and wore a kimono. Unlike the others' fierce stances and the looks in their eyes that promised death to any enemy, this lone mad seemed relaxed as if he was taking a pleasant walk in his garden. Even the man's sword was sheathed.
"Nobunaga! Don't be reckless!" The eldest amongst the people in the crowd yelled out in worry. "We can run if needs be, is fighting them here necessary?!"
"Yes," said Nobunaga calmly. His voice was casual, and he walked right past the dark lion-like creatures whose tails seemed like snakes. "After all, we still haven't prepared the food for travel."
The beasts finally got angry at having a human walk so close to them and attacked. But at that moment, an inch before their claws reached their enemy, all of them soundlessly exploded into finely cut pieces. His sword was never even pulled out of its sheath.
Nobunaga turned back toward the villagers and smiled gently. "Everyone, take your time, there's no need to worry. After all, you have me here."
"I thought he was just a freeloader that always lazed around, but he's a super-strong guy!!" A young child exclaimed in excitement.
A burly man in the crowd with a hammer in his hand smirked. "Hell yeah, Nobunaga is the strongest Swordsman in the Wayne Kingdom. He even killed a Legendary Rank Magician during the war between the Holy Kingdom and the Magic Academy. And then…"
"C'mon now, don't go telling my whole story at once," Nobunaga interrupted him. "It makes me sound lame," he said playfully.
His relaxed demeanor made the people smile with relief. Having someone like Nobunaga on your side was strangely comforting that you would be safe. He never seemed even need to attack his opponent. No one had seen him pull his sword in any of his fights.
The man who seemed to be so impressive without trying looked at the villagers with a bored look and waved them off. "Don't keep looking at me with loving gazes, it makes my skin crawl."
After saying that, he laid down on the wet ground with corrupted blood and closed his eyes. "Go and gather the things in the village, we are moving."
"And here comes the usual lazy Nobunaga," one of the men snickered.

Though Nobunaga wasn't too worried about it, he could feel that the monsters coming to this remote village were getting stronger and stronger with time. Initially, only a couple of Rank 1 Monsters came at a time, but recently a dozen or so Rank 4 continued to come. The villagers only had a dozen Rank 1 Fighters, so they wouldn't be able to defend even against one Rank 4 Monster.
If he hadn't been here, this village would have been obliterated at the beginning of the Apocalypse.
Suddenly he was pulled out from his thoughts as he heard the grass shuffling from a hundred meters or so. He looked towards it and saw a naken woman with green hair eyes, walking toward him with a smile on her face. She was a World Class beauty and seemed to have a perfectly proportioned body. Her hips were wide and her breasts big, but not too big.
Nobunaga didn't bother to even get up and didn't even open his eyes. "Nohime, why are you here? As a Dryad, you should concentrate on trying to keep yourself uncorrupted. Don't waste energy taking a human form."
The woman smiled tiredly. "Yes, I know… but Nobu, you know what you should do. Leave this place. You might be winning easy right now, but what about when Monsters that you can no longer beat come around."
"Men grow stronger the more they are challenged," he smiled confidently. "The life of a coward isn't one I would ever wanna live. This place has been my hometown and the people here are my family, any monster who comes close will be destroyed. With you producing food in your forest and with me killing the Monsters in the forest should be a perfect fertilizer and sustain these people."
She clenched her fist, "What about you then? You will die like a fool, no one will remember your bravery."
Once he heard this, instead of being offended by her words he… "Hahahahaha!!" Laughed so hard, he couldn't stop the tears coming out of his eyes. "Owari no Utsuke," (the Fool of Owari) he called himself by the title he was known in his past life for a time. "Being known as a fool has its uses, also I am waiting for someone to make a move."
Nohime frowned, she remembered the time when she had met a young Nobu, his flame of ambition seemed like it would burn the world. Now though those flames were hidden so deep that most would assume they didn't exist at all. But she knew better, as he had been the one to name her after beating at the time, a Rank 2 Nohime with sword skills and nothing else.
"I heard from the birds that the Soul Sect has become the strongest Human Stronghold in the Wayne Kingdom. You and the people should move there," she said selflessly, knowing that if Nobunaga went away then she would die off and be corrupted without his protection. Because she was the forest in the mountain and couldn't move away from here and once it got destroyed, she would die with it.
"Nah," Nobunaga on the other hand had different thoughts. "Going to that guy will probably be even more dangerous."
"You know the leader of the Soul Sect?" She questioned, feeling curious.
"Well, I met him a couple of times in the Magic Academy," he confessed, a frown appearing on his face. "That guy is a whole different kind of monster. Even amongst mages, he creeps me out."
Nobunaga wasn't afraid to confess his true thoughts to the Dryad. This showed that he trusted her. There weren't a lot of people that would be able to make him on edge as Alex could. Even when he had been only six years old, Nobunaga's instincts had screamed that he was dangerous.
His previous life played back in his head and how he had died. Nobunaga had always wondered what happened to his wife, even though their marriage wasn't the best out there. He still couldn't help but remember her beauty and intelligence. This Dryad was named by him after his wife, he wouldn't abandon her no matter what.

At the same time, Alex's Soul Sect kept gathering more and more members. Though most were civilian, he had used potions and other methods to awaken their potential as Warriors or Mages.
Alex was flying in the sky looking towards a wave of monsters approaching the giant walls around the Soul Sect. Thousands of people were on the walls, each of them able to use Mana. Magic Circles of different colors appeared around the walls and a hail of elemental, poison, acid, attacks rained down.
It was quite a sight, and he no longer needed to worry and try protecting the Soul Sect by himself. He no longer was the only defender, and the army he had built would be good. Even if the Apocalypse ended, he planned to keep this force around.
In his mind, he no longer wanted to settle things by marriage to Ya Fei. Because this disaster was bad and killed a huge percentage of the Human Race. If he looked at the positive things, Alex calculated that he had the biggest Human Army, the Holy Kingdom could compete with him since their fighters might be more experienced and higher level. But while due to God's Protections within the Kingdom Alex doubted the corruption had even reached there. Still, though, the Beast Army was attacking humans, and the Holy Kingdom was in the front lines.
So their numbers were bound to fall, while Alex's army grew bigger and more powerful with time.
Magic Circles covered the sky, as even the flying monsters were dealt with in less than a minute.

A/N: Some people might say that there was strength in the unity of the Human Race. But there would still be division as each organization would look after it's own interests and even stab him in the back.
P.S: Nobunaga's wife was covered in mystery, so was her life during and before her marriage with him.
