Medusa was the first one to attack amongst, as her purple, gem-like eyes shone, and immediately her beautiful and silky purple hair rose up as if it had a mind of its own and turned into snakes with violet scales. "I will kill you and the cruel Gods you worship!!"
The Cardinals were all frozen for a split second and couldn't move as they met her eyes. Their fingers started graying out and turning into stone.
"Petrification Curse?!" Exclaimed one of them, surprised at the power of the curse they were under.
"Don't worry, I am proficient in dealing with curses," another Cardinal reassured them. He clasped his hands together in a prayer motion and summoned a ball of light which split into seven pieces, one for each of them.
The curse was broken before the beast army could do anything significant. Seeing this, the Cardinals decided that it was time to start the battle and not delay it any longer.
"Charge!!"
The holy army galloped, their steps shaking the ground below them as an enormous amount of holy energy enveloped them. The earth seemed to rumble as man and beast fought, desperately trying to win against the enemy, trying to kill and rip apart the other.
Both of the armies' goals were laid waste as they slaughtered each other. This war was a clash of ideals, the Holy Kingdom wanting to keep its Gods and survive these hard times. While the beasts wanted to get revenge for humanity's betrayal two thousand years ago, and during those two thousand years the beasts were used as crafting materials, they were raised as pets, they were seen as animals. The hate that had grown for two thousand years had now become apparent.
Each side thought they were in the right, as claws clashed against swords. The beasts had a clear advantage, as they were naturally physically superior to humans.
But the humans in the Holy Kingdom had one major advantage too.
[Blessing]
[Regeneration]
[Strength Boost]
[Heal]

Thousands of buffs rained down on the front-line soldiers and the Cardinals. The Holy Kingdom's army had become an immortal army, something that couldn't be killed as any injury was healed and soon the monsters started seeing that they were pushed back. No matter how many times a soldier of the holy army was overpowered by a beast, they would heal, and with buffs to their strength, speed and endurance would increase.
Priests and Clerics of different powers were casting an enormous amount of buffs and healing. Soon the Holy Army went into an overwhelming attack, and the beasts were slowly but surely getting killed.
One of the Cardinals oversaw the fight below them, casting [Revive] on any person who had died but their body was still intact. Though the spell took a lot of Mana, due to certain artifacts, the spell’s consumption was decreased to something almost nonexistent.
The other Cardinals still kept his attention on the Legendary Rank Beasts, which hadn't moved at all. Medusa saw this and impatiently charged.
"Wait!!" Yelled a giant humanoid wolf, he was known as the Werewolf Boss by the humans. A Legendary Rank Werewolf, with unmatched abilities amongst his kind.
Still through, Medusa was reckless as she slithered through the air at breakneck speeds. The air around her crackled as she used her tail as a whip to beat at the air and increase her speed. Within an instant, she had covered half the distance towards the Cardinals.
But the seven Cardinals were no slouches either, used spells in unison and golden magic circles appeared around Medusa. Chains came out of them and tied up around Medusa's body.
[Legendary Rank Holy Magic: Purifying Sacrament Of Imprisonment]
The spell was strong, something that even Peak Legendary Rank warriors would be able to break through with their raw power.
But Medusa was no warrior, she was a magic-using monster. Her eyes shone a violent blue so bright that it seemed to dim the light around her, and the radiant holy chain's light started dimming and they slowly turned into stone that Medusa broke through easily.
"She is quite dangerous," said one of the Cardinals nonchalantly as he saw the half-snake monster charge at them. “If we leave her like this, in another hundred years she will reach the peak and become a monster too hard to handle.”
The Lamias were a dangerous kind of monster, half-snake half-human, but Medusa was the deadliest amongst her kind. Even the Cardinals had to be careful with how they handled the situation if they didn't want to die.
While this was a war of magic, swords, and monsters, the smell of blood, intestines spilled on the ground, and brains were smashed. Mangled corpses littered the battlefield. Every war had the same deficits and consequences that couldn’t be avoided.
Medusa's body suddenly started morphing, surprising the Cardinals as she turned into a giant, haunt purple-eyed serpent. Her head was as big as a mountain, and she swiped her tail. The sound barrier was still broken even with her giant body as her tail landed into the midst of the holy army.
BOOOOM!!!
It was as if an Atomic Bomb had landed, as a large dust cloud rose in the air and for a second, the battlefield was quiet due to the devastation.
As the dust cleared up, a sorry sight was laid before them. The human army was smashed and thousands were squished with one owing of Medusa’s tail. The Cardinals saw this, the corpses of young people, women, and men, some of them barely old enough to be called teens. All of those corpses lay on the ground, mushed and emotionless.
"This bitch!" Yelled out one of the Cardinals in anger, charging at the snake woman. Thousands of holden magic circles formed around the snake's body and tightened around it, within a split second, covering her body in a cocoon of holy chains. "Try and get out of this."
The Cardinal looked at the people that died and grieved at how many talented youngsters they had lost. Wars like these destroyed talents by the dozens. Just because they were talented and had the potential didn't mean that they would live to meet their potential.
Fwish!
Suddenly, the air around the lone Cardinal that had charged forward shifted and he felt a shadow descend behind him. That was when his eyes widened below his red robe, and he knew that he had made a grave mistake.
*Crunch!*
He couldn't even react as the Werewolves' fist had passed straight through his midsection and came out of the Cardinal's belly.
"Dumbass, then lone wolf always dies," whispered the werewolf as he swiped at the cardinal's head, decapitating the man and destroying his head. This made the Cardinal unable to come back to life anymore, even if a revive spell was used on him.
Suddenly Medusa's entrapped body started disappearing as she was enveloped by a purple teleportation Magic Circle. It seemed like before he had died, the Cardinal used all of his Mana to teleport her body away from here so she wouldn't be able to intervene in the fight.

The next time she opened her eyes, Medusa was turned back to her normal half-snake form and looked around. "Where the hell am I?"
All she could see was a dark room around here, though there was no light, she could see in the dark. Though she noticed something strange, in the middle of the room, a crystal floated as if held up by telekinesis. Inside of it was a silver-haired woman, with her eyes closed and she seemed to be sleeping.
Medusa's eyes widened in shock and her body shook in fear. She knew who this woman was. "Julie… the Magic Academy's headmistress!"
Looking around Medusa tried to look for an exit, but there was no door around here. What she didn't notice was Julie's finger twitch and the woman’s eyes suddenly opening.

On the Soul Sect, Alex and Camilla were talking casually, as they were far away from the war that was happening. So they weren't worried about it.
But suddenly she stopped as her eyes shone. "Fuck," a grave look appeared on her face. "How the hell did that bitch get free?"
Alex was curious about it, as he saw Camilla seemed annoyed by something. "What's wrong?"
He had finished the arrey work he had to do for today and now had the time to talk to Camilla. But she seemed to be irritated by something as dark red mana burst out of her like a stream. Just her energy alone broke the Time Stop Alex had applied around them to be broken within an instant.
'What a crazy amount of Mana.' - he thought, examining her nonchalantly. With a click of his fingers, Alex teleported them both into his office where Camilla's outburst wouldn't kill someone.
His room crackled and shook, the walls started breaking down. Alex just went and sat in his chair, conjured a cup of tea, and began to fix the walls and seals around the room so Camilla's energy wouldn't destroy everything.
"For a two-thousand-year-old, you are still like a child, throwing tantrums all around." He muttered, taking a sip of the tea which was a Mana potion to replace his lost energy. Alex didn't know how long this outburst would last, but he came prepared. Camilla seemed to have seen something that had angered her beyond measure.
She calmed after some minutes and this was faster than Alex expected. So he hadn't lost a lot of Mana from rebuilding the room.
Camilla frowned and looked at Alex. "Julie will awaken soon. I need your help in finding her and killing that bitch. She is someone too dangerous to let live."
"Okay," Alex agreed, he seemed honest as a serious look adorned his face.
‘What?’ - Suddenly Camilla's body froze, she turned around and peered at him with a venomous gaze. "Did you just lie to me?"
"Of course not. Even to me, Julie is an enemy." Though Alex's actions showed that he wasn't lying, and he and Julie didn't have a good enough relationship for him to support her. So the logical conclusion was that he truly would be willing to help Camilla kill her. Even the Vampire Queen wouldn’t be able to see through his lies physically.
But she could glimpse through many multiverses and different scenarios even before they happened. "Then why are you betraying me each time and choosing Julie."
Alex chuckled tensely. "Your Ability is too overpowered. That's not fair at all."
