The Game of a Blood Mage

Chapter 104

***
Alex sighed, he didn't have a choice but, to be honest now. Even though he was in his domain, with thousands of spells and enchantments around the whole Soul Sect, Camilla was still dangerous. He didn't want to fight her and see if his arrays work against someone of the Immortal Rank.

"Well, you are an irregularity," Alex explained. "You are acting erratically as of late and not based on logic. Very unlike a mage. That makes you a dangerous ally, who knows when you could burst next time."

Camilla wanted to get angry, after all, they had done together… No… this wasn't it. She wasn't the one who fell in love with Alex, but her emotions were compromised, and was acting weird. In this world, they hadn't done anything, and she knew Alex was on the right for not supporting someone as unstable as her.

Having an unstable ally like her would be disastrous for Alex. Because if there was any problem she created, but couldn't solve herself, then it would affect him too. If it was a situation Camilla couldn't handle herself, then there was no need for anything to be said about Alex. It would be like inviting a catastrophe upon him, one that he couldn't control or be prepared for because he wasn't the one going out there and doing crazy things.

Camilla understood this, yet, she couldn't help but feel betrayed by Alex and his behavior. "Then, can you stay out of this?"

He contemplated lying to her again but knew that it would only anger Camilla. So instead, Alex did something he wasn't used to, and that was, to tell the truth. "No, Julie would be a dependable ally. She will act logically and not invite unneeded problems."

"Since you are my enemy now… then I should kill you." Her eyes shone a red and malicious color. But Alex didn't budge.

"You could try," he said, not showing weakness in front of his opponent. "But we aren't enemies. I will help Julie, but it is simply because of the benefits. The enemy of my friend isn't necessarily my enemy."

Once again, Alex explained everything from a logical standpoint. He could see that Camilla was jealous, so he showed her that this was only for his benefit. Feelings didn't matter, nor did their past actions.

Camilla had a thoughtful look, then she teleported away without saying anything.

Simultaneously, in the Holy Kingdom, deep within the ground, Julie was within the crystal prison as she opened her eyes. Medusa turned around and gazed at the other woman who had unimaginable power.

But Medusa also noticed something strange, that Julie winced and her Mana levels were nowhere near normal. A savage smile appeared on Medusa’s face, as her body contorted.

Fwish!

Within a split second, she had wrapped her lower serpentine body around the crystal, trying to crush it with Julie inside of it. Medusa knew the rumors about how ruthless Julie could be, so she decided to be cautious and kill her before she could be back in top condition.

“Die you bitch!” yelled out Medusa, as the crystal started cracking under her mighty strength. Her lower serpentine body could crush even Warriors who used Ki as long as she was able to get them constricted.

Julie’s pupils moved and she looked Medusa right in the eye. Something that no one else dared to do, she possessed the strongest Petrification Curse. With just a sight her enemies would turn into stone, and looking her in the eyes would even destroy your soul. These kinds of abilities ignored Ranks, and everything else. So even Immortal Ranks would be affected by them.

But suddenly. Medusa started bleeding from her eyes, she winced but kept looking at Julie in the eyes as the entrapped silver-haired woman started turning into stone. Starting from the tip of her finger, slowly the curse traveled up her arm.

“You stupid whore, you think you can resist my Petrification Curse?” Medusa mocked as Julie’s curse progressed massively and turned the woman trapped in the glass into stone. Only her eyes were left without being turned into stone. “Should have just died peacefully, then at least you would have died a peaceful death.”

“You think so?” asked a voice, and Medusa turned towards the voice and saw that a woman’s head that looked just like Julie had come out of her belly. “The Petrification Curse kills the body, no one can resist it. Assuming that wouldn’t necessarily be wrong. But haven’t you heard the saying? The eyes are the window of the soul.”

Meduse felt her blood start turning cold, and her heart beating so fast that it felt like it was going to burst out of her chest. “H -How?!”

“You aren’t the only one who uses curses, also I had years to prepare for you,” Julie admitted, as her golden yellow eyes shone with mischief, a small smirk made its way on her face. “The world has been up to quite some things lately. Who would have thought that the Beast Emperor would awaken? Then again, he probably knew already.”

Medusa's silky purple hair turned into snakes and they extended to bite Julie’s head that seemed to be fused with the snake woman’s body.

[Petrification]

Suddenly, the snakes froze mid-air and they turned from a beautiful purple into a dull grey and lost all signs of life.

“Ah~ that’s a shame, my Petrification Curse isn’t at your level yet.” Julie playfully complained. Solely a dark grey magic circle formed on the ceiling and covered the whole room.

[Legendary Cursed Water Magic: 100,000 Curses Deagon]

A dragon’s head formed out of the circle and its bright red eyes stared at Medusa and only now did she understand. “I have no chance…”

“Yep~ now bear with me a little longer, will you?” Julie smiled gently as the whole room was covered in dark cursed water, and within a split second Medusa was killed.

But the half serpentine woman opened her eyes again, and Julie smiled. “How do you like your new immortality curse?”

Medusa’s soul was still conscious, even as she paled as blood flew out of her body and formed a human body, slowly but surely a new naked body was being formed for Julie.

“What do you want from me?” Medusa growled, baring her teeth at Julie, who had disappeared from her body and now entered a new one created by her blood.

“Well, I have been planning for this day for about ten years. So how about we gossip a little and tell our deepest secrets to each other.” Julie was still in a playful mood even though Medusa was quite strong even for Legendary Rank, but it seemed like they were leagues apart.

Julie wasn’t known as one of the two strongest Legendary Rank Magicians in the world.

“Never!!” Medusa resisted.

“Oh… dear… does it seem like you have a choice?”

*
Medusa’s screams rang out in the room like a ghostly melody. Her yells of pain reached no one as Julie tortured her for two hours without rest. Due to the curse of immortality she had inflicted on the serpentine woman, she couldn’t die. So Julie went all out on the torture and even used spells to amplify her pain and quicken Medusa’s sense of time.

Medusa was suspended mid-air by strings made out of Mana that were invisible to the normal eye. Julie still had a smile on her face as if she was just going on a picnic as Medusa’s eyes were ripped out.

“AHHHHHHH!!!”

“Are you ready to talk yet?” Julie asked, blood splattering on her naked body which she got rid of with a wave of her hand. “We both know you will eventually talk, so how about you tell me some secrets now? It would save us both time and you wouldn’t be tortured any longer.”

She was brutal, but Julie’s methods were effective. Anyone would break under torture, the answer was just how long it would take. But Medusa still didn’t say anything and just breathed heavily, as her eye sockets dripped blood on the ground. But her eyes started reforming again.

The nails on her fingers started being ripped out slowly as over a dozen curses made her feel like she was burning and salt was being thrown in her wounds. This time, Medusa made sure to not speak a word.

‘No matter what, I will never speak of the Emperor’s weakness.’ - reasoned Medusa resolutely. She wasn’t ever going to spill his secrets.

Julie saw the strong-willed expression on her victim’s face and chuckled. Guessing what she was thinking. “Everyone thinks the same. It’s good you are so resilient because it means that you know quite a lot.”
