Her john had made her go down on a thick hard shaft but it had Smith & Wesson written on it and their business transaction finished with a not-so-happy ending made of lead. She was a working girl like the others, a dame with "something extra." My secretary Roxy had volunteered to act as bait but the killer knew what he liked and he had a nose for these things. I knew we needed something more real...or maybe less real. But now after three weeks on the job Jake and I were no closer to catching the guy with our little honey pot scam, although I was starting to think that neither of us were in any hurry for this case to end...
