My phone rang with an unknown number on it and after I said the word "Hello" I heard a familiar voice that immediately made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
Familiar Voice on the phone:
"Is this Dominic?"
ME:
"yes...it is..."
Familiar Voice on the phone:
"This is Michaela Jill Murphy, the voice actor of Toph from Avatar the Last Air Bender. And I was wondering if you were available to make some artwork for me to sign at my comic con booths?"
ME:
"ugh...ugh...of course!!!!!
And that is the origin of how I got started with this piece! This is one of 4 pieces I am making for her! And if you guys want a piece that is signed by her let me know!

Dominic, we met Michaela at the con. It was bad ass. She had your art at the table, and we got it signed by her, but the coolest thing was that she was freaking cosplaying as Toph. That was awesome. She was so cool to chat with.
