We first meet him during the Zoldyck Mansion arc (the scene when Canary gets knocked out by the Mom) right after the Hunter Exam and then find out he joined the Phantom Troupe during the Greed Island arc. He is a boy, but does dress pretty feminine so people assume he’s a girl often
