POST-PUSH
Hey all! Hope everyone is doing well, I'm just finished a 3 week concept push at Wizards of the Coast on Magic the Gathering, and now taking a break before going back to normal freelancing. It was blast and the most fun and creative project I've been on. I'm sad that it's come to an end so quickly. I was extremely nervous to be on a small team with fantasy art veterans such as Tyler Jacobson, Chris Rahn, and Steve Prescott, but in the end the joy of working on Magic the Gathering and the collaborative environment cancelled out any anxiety I had. Everyone was really welcoming, kind, and open to giving/receiving feedback. And our Art Director, Cynthia Sheppard was amazing at giving direction and steering the ship. It felt a bit like concept art boot camp for me but in a positive way - I really needed the kick in the pants. I can't wait to show you all what we worked on in like... 2 years.
