I think it's a testament to the writing of this show that a character who has only appeared on screen a few times carries so much emotional weight and is someone who we are all so invested in. Suki really feels like a part of Team Avatar even though she has been with us for so little time. The whole series they bring her back at the exact right time and Sokkas love for her makes every moment with her that much more impactful.

Alex

“that’s rough buddy” one of the greatest quotes in Avatar history

RJ

You guys should watch the Live Action Rendition that shall not be named after you finish this series just so you guys can witness how much they messed the story up that we all love so much.

Arshan

Korra is only slightly less amazing as this one only cause they had to end the series 3 times

levi polacek

Are you shipping Zuko and Suki yet 👀...🤷‍♂️

Steven

There's no way in Hell Nickelodeon would have signed over the rights to their characters to Netflix. Also, just because M&B stopped working with Netflix doesn't mean that Nickelodeon has.

the Forgiven

Yeah. But I guess in a kids showuniverse rape and stuff doesn't exist.

Ever Borjas

“This show has given me everything...oh there you fucking go, bitch” 🤣🤣🤣

Smitty Werbenjagermanjensen #1

Yes sir! 😂

Steven

Same lol

Steven

Its music and animation are legit way better than ATLA.

Drew

Zutara for life, dont be dragged down by the haters

Drew

This is dumb, they can ship whoever they want. Also everyone shipped Kate and Sawyer so I dont see how that works for you.

Drew

Ah was hoping for the double drop

Timten

and guess who we shipped on lost

LM Reactions

They don’t need to get past it, they’re free to feel how they want to feel. If you don’t feel the dynamic, that’s fine. They do. And that’s fine as well.

Sebastian Wulff

Nah, Zutara for the win. 🔥💦

Samir Cecunjanin

You girls, Lola specifically, need to get past your Zutara shipping attachment. Their characters do not mesh like that. They have more of a Kate/Sawyer dynamic if you’ve ever watched Lost

Ryan

Sokka and Zuko might be my favorite duo

KM

Finally.... the moment we've been actually waiting for.... the that's rough buddy scene 😂

FYI, Super good news. Like....WOW! Paramount Studios is creating a streaming platform called Paramount Plus. How original. Paramount is a subsidiary of Viacom, which means it will get content from Nickelodeon (owners of Avatar), CBS, Comedy Central, MTV, BET, etc. But the big news is......drumroll....they have created Avatar Studios to create original content for Paramount Plus. And the first project of MANY is an animated movie. They will continue stories, create spins offs, basically open up the whole Avatar Universe. The best news is the original creators are heading up the project. They were working with Netflix on a live action Avatar series, but Netflix wanted to go in a creatively different direction and didn't listen to them, so they left. Their first project is the animated movie that will start production this year. They will be heading up Avatar Studios. WoohOO!!! That is literally the only reason I would sign up for another service.

Leenis

the music and the erhu is amazing too

Brandon

Most women are taken to lower security prisons. Suki was imprisoned in the Boiling Rock for 2 reasons. 1. She is the leader of the Kyoshi Warriors (Boiling Rock imprisons leaders of resistances as well as the most dangerous criminals in fire nation) 2. Azula found out Suki knew Sokka likely from a conversation not shown directly but was referenced during the black sun invasion by Azula. She likely made special permissions admitting Suki there My theory at least

Skrulzie

Am I the only one that thought it was weird how Suki is the only female prisoner?

the Forgiven

*has watched GoT, has watched the 100* "why do they care so much about me... i have never been this loved" ... Imagine a show that peaks at the end and gives you everything you wanted and more

I don't know much about about production/licensing/contracts but i doubt the Netflix Live Action will have any direct impact on the new studio. The way i understand it is the Avatar brand and everything that includes is a property of Nickelodeon, but they gave permission to Netflix to make a live action adaptation of the animated show, but Netflix doesn't own the characters. Simililar to the way Netflix was able to make Marvel TV shows, but the characters were still a Marvel property. Either way it's exciting, I expect that they will try to create an entirely new avatar story while also expanding Korra and ATLA ,and they will actually have the support/budget/production to do it properly.

I understand that. My interest wouldn't be in a show TOO far post-Korra though. Anime fans would love it I'm sure. Something set in ~2020 or even the far future. But I'd love to see something set in the distant past. That would be cool.

Caomhan84

"That's rough buddy" is such an iconic line <3

Adi Shilo

I'll say it again...Korra is not bad. It's NOT. I have a feeling that you guys are going to love it (at least at first). More mature themes, deeper storylines, really exploring the potential of the setting and the lore. And the animation is gorgeous. There's a lot to love about it. It's just a very different feeling show to the original, because of the setting.

Caomhan84

B r u h, all I want is for them to complete the Avatar cycle LOL I'd love to see the world post-korra, including finally having a full 4 show series with a show for each element/Avatar and movies in between. I could care less about seeing more of Atla animated, I love it yes, but we have the entire show and comics still being released to this day. We need something fresh in my opinion.

SupremeCai

Yeah...I was excited at first until I realized that the Netflix live action series probably throws a wrench into the works, though. I'd guess that the creators signed some sort of non-compete clause when they left that show, so whatever they create for Avatar going forward won't have the original characters...at least for awhile. So that kills my hope for a movie or limited series showing Team Avatar as adults and bridging the gap between ATLA and Korra. That's literally all I want, personally. But they're free to do anything else, and can expand the lore in other directions. Going into the past or far into the future, past the ~1925 setting of Korra.

Caomhan84

The feeling of not wanting Avatar to end is so relatable. The good news (if you haven't heard) is that nickelodeon just announced Avatar Studios with the original creators to expand on the avatar universe
